It is larger. Much much larger.
They should have just released it as a static display piece and not made, and continue to make claims about its accuracy and then people would have been much happier. It’s the wool being pulled over the eyes of collectors that know better that seems to be annoying people. I bought mine based on its accuracy claims as Barry assured me in another thread that it couldn’t have been more accurate even if it had Craig’s hair in it, or similar. So you can imagine how happy I was when mine turned up
The great thing about this mask is it was designed and crafted to be a second skin for Daniel which is why it looked so bloody good on screen. Its fit was so specific and stylish that it could almost have been tagged Tom Ford! where as Factory Entertainment's creation would perhaps be more suited to Daniel's alter ego Sidney James!
Whenever I see this image it reminds me of a 1960s wind up chimp playing with his bongos! )
There is a german film called „Der Wixxer“ which would translate to „the W*nker“...seems more like a replica of THAT mask then Spectre‘s. ) )
But seriously, I‘m with Higgins. If you create a replica thats never to be worn in the first place why would you bother making it bigger into a universal fit and not stay SA? ?:)
David’s video was good but whet the guy was saying didn’t really make sense- so the original was too small to be used as a mask and was sized up, but it can’t be worn as a mask anyway?!?!
I’m definitely out of the running for this replica, a damn shame as I was looking forward to picking one up.
Has anyone bought or know of an unofficial one that looks the part or can be suitably altered that isn’t John Merrick sized? I’m not looking to wear this so a resin version is best. There are loads on eBay but the photos vary from one to the next so you don’t really know what you’re getting.

Yes, at one time, FE Barry says, that the outer dimensions are correct (and they are not), but inside, there is a lot of space because the shell is too thick.
