    They’ve ruined the Gingham! :#
But I like the navy linen shirt and the Moonraker 1/2 zip.

Thanks for sharing, Blair. Another interesting collection. I was really hoping they would do the Moonraker half-zip shirt, and they did, but they turned it into a piece of knitwear.

Sadly the YOLT shirt doesn't appear to have cocktail cuffs, but with regular button cuffs it makes it closer to Lazenby's pink shirt to go with the cream suit. I'm rather disappointed that the OHMSS cream suit doesn't have hacking pockets. With the pockets on such a steep slant, that's a key style point of Lazenby's suit.

And a white polo for Dr. No? Did they change the colour of that Dr. No still, or was that photo historically colourised that way (like it was in red elsewhere)?

The DN trousers and OP harrington look great.

Unfortunately the launch is being postponed...."As you have signed up to receive information about our 007 Heritage Collection we wanted to let you know that given global events and the ongoing situation relating to COVID-19 we have taken the decision to postpone the launch until further notice."

When it DOES launch I have TWO videos that detail each piece in the collection. Hopefully that wont be TOO far into the future...

I'm glad we got a sneak peek anyway. It helps me think about budgeting!

In all honesty, though, I'm not sure there's anything in this collection that pulls me as strongly as some of the pieces did last year. Maybe if I didn't already have budget/alternate version of those Thunderball camp collar shirts.

The merino zip neck looks like it was designed so the zipper would get caught in my chest hair. X-(

I can't say enough for OB's cotton-silk stuff (big fan of the Mallory and the Laughton) so the cream colored Dr. No polo might be a possibility for me. The For Your Eyes Only V neck, too. It will depend on how deep that V is.

The one piece that really intrigues me is The Man With the Golden Gun Capri collar shirt. I don't think it's destined for my closet, but I'm curious about the idea of side adjusters on a casual shirt.

The Octopussy Harrington was the real surprise for me....wasn't expecting to like it so much, but when I got it it turned into one of my favorite pieces!

German lobby cards made the blue polo white (probably to save ink):

I like the MR top but would prefer if it had been cotton.
    Like the FYEO t-shirt.
Disappointed with the Cuban neck on TMWTGG shirt.
Would have preferred more varied pieces inspired from the 24 films, rather than even more inspired pieces from DN & TB.
Agree with Matt re. the OHMSS suit jacket pockets.
    "Any of the opposition around..?"

The FYEO V-neck is not deep at all....and it has more in common with the Spectre polo than it does with a simple t-shirt....its the knitting of it and the chevron details that make it unique.

Totally different animals....think Roger Moore and palace attack. No NTTD offerings in the capsule...

How's the quality compared to the QOS Harrington and do you have an idea of pricing?

At the least the delayed launch gives us time to save up.

Really liking the Roger Moore pieces.

I think its hilarious they did the Dr No polo in white ( to match what appears on the incorrect German lobby cards) 8-) 8-) Yet the pants are blue as in the film... Very strange decision on their part.. :s :s

I'll venture to guess that they're aware that it doesn't look this way in the film, as they say it's "inspired by Bond's classic beach style" rather than mention the film like they do in the other descriptions.

Still its rather odd though - everything else thereabouts the correct colour scheme~

Thought they might have cashed in on a few DC things unless thats to come next time around

I wonder if they didn't do any of the DC items because the brands that made them are still around and may still have relationships with the Bond series.

Of the clothes in this collection, the only brand we know of that they copied that is still around is Turnbull & Asser, who made the pink shirt in YOLT. OB's pink shirt doesn't even copy any of the special details of that shirt.

Yeah maybe too soon for DC items as you say Matt.

Some things off the top of my head....

Madagascar linen trousers (already copied the Diesel tee already but didnt market it as such)
Bahamas arrival white short sleeve shirt with epaulets
PTS Blue Linen shirt sleeve shirt with epaulets
    Y3 Harrington / TF Harrington
    Casino Budgie Smugglers x 2

Would be cool if Npeal did a Casino PTS Chunky cardigan also!

Some excellent ideas. They could have done the CR PTS linen suit as well.

But it may be because the Dr No blue polo shirt featured in the last phase of the OB 007 Collection, perhaps.

Yes mentioned earlier in this thread. Guess was inevitable really.

Presume Alba / Connolly / TF all the same

Smart decision by OB, it's hard to care about a "non-essential" like luxury clothing during a time like this.
  • The Bond ExperienceThe Bond Experience Newtown, PAPosts: 5,490Quartermasters
Alba, and Connolly and TF all moving forward....at least with their social media and online efforts. I think theirs will be much more subtle than OB was going to be. Alba and Connolly, for example, didn't organize tons of new journal ads and articles and TF is going out to customers and prospects with the capsule line and a few influencers.

The above three didn't have major countdowns for example...

Given the uncertainty (not to mention the cratering global stock exchanges), I don’t think a lot of people are eager to spend much money of whimsical luxury goods. OB made a sensible decision. Hopefully this clears up in 3-4 months and things start to get back to normal.

In the meantime, this is a great opportunity to revisit the 24 Bond films, as well as the various novels!

Connolly also has my (and some of your) money already. Presumably the jacket is already in production and will be shipped. But if not, I'd certainly hope for a refund rather than them holding customer funds against an unknown future.
