Barbour Icon Beacon Sport

Hello gents.

I recently bought this Barbour Icons Beacon Sport. Can someone tell me more about this specific model please ? It seems it was made for the 125th birthday of barbour.....

Thank you very much and sorry if I posted in the wrong forum section.

Cheers,
Fred

I’ve seen this in person. It’s a reinterpretation of the original Tokito worn in Skyfall.

Overall it’s close but with some different features. It’s closer to the Beacon Heritage jacket modelled on the Tokito.

Differences are a zip pocket above one of the waist pockets, the pigeon holder only has one zip versus two, and there’s an additional pocket on one sleeve.

I have the To Ki To and the Commander Beacon and actually prefer this Icon version.

My only concern is it looks a bit "shiny" what size did you buy and do you have any pics of it on?

The main diffrerences are as listed above, plus the lining of course.

Thank you very much for your answers guys.

I bought a size "XL" but I didn't receive it yet......I also like the added pockets on the sleeve and above the waist pocket !!!

I actually mistakenly bought the Icon instead of the normal Beacon Sport a while back before sending it back to get the standard version. Both lovely jackets, however they are quite neat on the larger wearer - I hope to have lost enough weight by Autumn to fit in it :))

Take it out in the North of England (it's neck of the woods) and it'll lose that shiny in a few minutes. They're lovely jackets, I've had a duster style Barbour for nearly ten years that still looks great, is still solid, and just needs waxing every now and then. The Beacon is a cut above that stylistically but it's quality will point to the reason why they were given a Royal Warrant.
