I liked the cryptic email. I thought it was good fun and humorously sets the stage for Friday's reveal. I also don't mind 007 logos on boxes: it certainly beats having them on the actual product!
I'm typo prone and often fail to proofread so I tend to be forgiving about this stuff. But that was so bad. Reads like a bot whose first, second, and third languages aren't English.
Will anyone here buy any of the NTTD footwear? I was interested in the Moltons however I have been told I can't resole this particular boot with vibram sole due to its construction so that rules it out for me
I've had a bit of spare time at work and have come up with a very rough idea (using a combination of Microsfoft Word and Paint) for a 007-themed shoe that Crockett & Jones could make, using a Bond image, that I think is quite subtle and tasteful. No garish logos here! Just the gunbarrel on the toe done with broguing.

Could work actually.. I think if that were created discreetly in broguing, nobody other than a keen eyed Bond fan would think anything of it.

I get what they were trying to do, a slow reveal - like the Spectre title announcement - but it still came across like they were high...
With the handgrade, trees ( will always baffle me why luxury shoes don’t come with trees as standard priced in), horn, polish etc etc the price isn’t as egregious as it could have been.
I took the plunge as I don’t have the Alex, apparently the first sale “alas not the 0 0 seven-th” the manager declared! I feel seen. )
the Molton Rough out boot have already had a small run on here sometime ago, they are great boots
Was the price of the Molton’s in our special order the same as what they’re selling for now? I bought a pair in that order but can’t remember what they cost??

Congrats Royale! Do the actual shoes themselves differ from the regular Alex, or is is just the packaging and extras that are different?

Handgrade leather, so softer than the Alex. I tried on an Alex to check my sizing and got to feel the JAMES - they only had a display pair too small for my paddles.
That's the main difference.
I can only imagine the Molton's have gone up in price given the tie-in? They are indeed great boots, I'd be surprised if they don't widen out the range from just the rough-out. They're a better cut, to me, than the Tetbury's.
Theres a shoe called JAMES apparently but not shown
Looks like an epic fail
What’s epic fail about it??
When I clicked the link earlier the introduction to the shoes cut off mid sentence and there was no details of James so I assumed they were have a technical hitch with their big unveil
Link is dead now

Moltons are £395 which is £10 more than Chilterns in regular suede so no Bond tax on those or the Highbury.
I'm seriously tempted by the Moltons now. They probably will extend the range in the spring but in rough out it fills a gap in my shoe collection

The whole package was on instagram months back but I never saved it lol
The email was terrible and I bet they'll put the logo on the top of the toe box )

Do we have to presume the 'James' Oxford shoes are the Alex model specifically designed for the movie?

I shall be Inquiring after James.

Suffice to say James is a gorgeous shoe...with a hefty price but plenty for that.
You can pre-pay today, stock due circa 9th October.
It’s a very limited run.
Also Molton’s are exceptionally comfortable and I like the rough-out suede...no
wonder DC personally asked for them to be put back into range.

James is showing for me in the UK when I click the 007 banner on the homepage....

The run is apparently “about 100”.
Also nabbed some Moltons.
