Unfortunately with the Hamilton branding, but I am getting one of these for sure!

I really wish they'd reissue the Octopussy Seiko though! C'mon Seiko!
I presumed you have an original? Or is this one to wear
But wearing them means constantly replacing the batteries which is a real pita

Yeah I know, but you have original Pulsars too and you're still up for this one! I don't really want an original Seiko as I'd be too worried it'd break or I'd damage it. And the Casio version seems so popular you'd think someone would reissue the original.
They are financially in a much better place than Hamilton (who are happy for every single watch that is sold) and the G757 with the black paint and the plastic bezel would not be along their current standards.
So, if they invested in new processes and materials, the watch would lose it‘s shine.
But I doubt that Seiko would put any money into this.
The old Pulsar on the other hand is so technically annoying that really noone wants to wear it.
And I am not sure if the development and design cost of the new Hamilton can ever be paid off by a couple of thousand watches that they may sell.
I doubt, that they can sell more than 5-6000 units from this niche product.

Yeah to be honest I was thinking probably not Seiko but someone perhaps buying the design from them. Do they actually even make any digitals any more?
I've been getting a couple of Seikos recently: their quality is really lovely for the price.
Yes that's a good point: OLED and all that- they must've completely redesigned it. So it shows a time all the time but the button makes the old-style LED come on? Are there photos of how the OLED looks in there? I can't really spot the difference.
He approached some high-tech companies to order bespoke chips and they started laughing when he was talking about 10.000 units.
Apple ordered several millions of them at the same time.
Same must apply for the special LCD/OLED

Maybe, maybe not.
Imo, if they are trying to embed this technology into other models, it will not work.
The only model where it may work has been presented today.
They‘ll not significantly sell more of this display when they are putting it into other models.
The watch is only sexy because of the historic vintage connection and it‘s limited to that.

But... US$745 for the stainless steel version seems a bit steep...
The prototype is marked Swiss Made and if they really make them there, I see no reason to complain.
