Just curious: are there different cuts of the movies that might effect the running times? I know that CR has some different edits to it depending upon the version that you're watching (a few cuts for violence here and there) but nothing that can really change the overall runtime all that much. If so, then that might explain why people who supposedly started at the same time could find themselves at different points in the film.

the first four films had cuts by censors as originally released, some of which have been restored in the dvd's, some haven't. FRWL had a bunch of little cuts some of which have since been restored.
but what about the splitsecond of blankspace before the gunbarrel, or the corporate logos and legal text that appears beforehand on my dvd's? is that counted in the time and universal to all dvd's?
And also, I was wrong about the approximate time Bond and Quarrel beach the boat: it was more like 1:01:20, and that alone could account for discrepencies amongst the audience. So if we do research timestamps in advance, they gotta be precise and not from memory.
I have suggested some of these events should be at a time where people in the west coast of the USA, NZ, Australia and the Phillipines can participate more easily.
I think we should watch OHMSS followed by DAF, then move into the Moore era. My suggestions are LALD, TSWLM and AVTAK.
I also wanted to continue with TSWLM but I am ok with OHMSS which is my favorite Bond.
But we should move then to the Moore area with 1 or 2 and then continue with Brosnan and Craig

In many ways I'd like to watch LTK since it's the most Daltonesque of his two entries, but I'm worried about Higgins' health (physically & mentally) if we do.
It's completely wrong for me, because that's when the geographical quiz "The Easter Labyrinth" starts on the radio. I've been listening to the labyrinth every year since 1987 and an easter without it is simply not possible. Now you have to consider if it's possible to watch the next Bond film without N24

Here in Toronto our quarantine/shutdown period is scheduled to last until end of June(!!) and these viewings are the most social contact I've had in three weeks now, virtual as hey are. Thus good for my mental health!
Weekend viewings including Friday afternoon (my time, that's mid-evening for you) are more justifiable. I am trying to "work from home" to the best of my abilities.
you know i'm a proponent for going through all 24 films in order, but could happily leap ahead to ...Spy... for this weekends viewing. Out of the remaining films, it is the one most likely to generate the same enthusiastic participation Dr No and Goldfinger did.
In many ways I'd like to watch LTK since it's the most Daltonesque of his two entries, but I'm worried about Higgins' health (physically & mentally) if we do.
what we should all do is count all the actual times Dalton weeps, and then confront Higgins with the evidence.
Therefor we need to watch both of them, very carefully.
