Ahh what a movie! But my god, would I have loved to see Lazenby’s Bond come back for another, going on the revenge mission. Oh well...

Yes and then later he was stupid enough putting a 7 007 movies contract down 8-)

Now we need to see a Bond film with flaws. I suggest DAF on Monday.

I always think “what if” at the end of this film when I see Diamonds Are Forever pop up...

Every time I watch it I'm always sad when it's over - such a great film, such a sad ending.

This was a terrific choice, and a great way to spend a morning.

    Too short? Not enough dubbing?

Great film but don’t rate George as bond

Great film but don’t rate George as bond but Diane looks like her daughter now, would be good to see her as a bond girl

When do we start discussing what's next?

Then I suggest one of Roger Moore's.

Please unstickie this and continue in the other thread.

So, I am strongly against putting DAF next which would be the 3 rd Connery movie.

I‘d like to see TSWLM and MR next - if possible in a row.

Would monday be too early because of the easter holiday?
    What time should we start?
Should we start US West Coast evening time next which would be then in the middle of the night for us?

Since Moore made so many Bonds I think we should watch three of his, perhaps LALD, MR/TSWLM and AVTAK. This way we get his first one, before he found his style as Bond, one where he's in his prime and his last one. I prefer TSWLM because it's his best (and because I don't have MR on DVD)

Sorry I couldnt make it fellers.
Its funny to read through this thread and try to guess what scene you were all at when you made your posts.

Always appreciate Barbel's explanations of the music, thanks boss!
This film certainly has one of the series' all time best scores, worthy of much detailed analysis.

Barbel you really are watching on a video cassette player, right? that might explain why it's out of sync, your gadget is purely mechanical (and probably vintage) whereas I think dvd players would all process at an identical rate, being mostly digital.

Also, I note that whereas in Dr No the posts started coming really fast towards the end, in this one they started thinning you once the big action sequences started in the final act.
Cuz you were all too busy watching those spectacular chases, or because you were all exhausted from watching a movie when you'd normally be asleep?

Close Barbel listens to the soundtracks on wax cylinders. :D

I'm watching on a perfectly normal and fairly recent Blu-ray player. The jokes from Higgins and TP are at the expense of my advanced age, which in truth is not that much more than theirs. :s

I'm glad you're enjoying the musical input, cp.

ah OK, then mechanics doesn't explain it
maybe because Scootland is closer to the north pole the earth revolves a bit faster there?
