I hope this post finds you all well and coping with the global lockdown?
So what are we all doing to alleviate the boredom and keep ourselves entertained? As well as working through a Bond film when the time allows I've started a model collection of my other life love Alfa Romeo. As I'm sure you all know, Alfa Romeo have featured in quite a few Bond films, the famous GT V6 in Octopussy, the poor 166 that was decapitated in Spectre by Bonds Aston in Rome, 156 Polizia in QoS and also in that film the pair of 159s that gave chase to Bond around Lake Guarda and into the Carrera marble quarry.
Recently I managed to buy an original magazine and 159 model in its original packaging, this one is of particular interest to me as I own one of the limited edition 159 cars brought out in line with the film, 1 of only 250 made, also being a Bond fan also adds to this particular model. I'm now on the lookout for the Bond gtv6 to add to my collection, research, making a plynth for my models and maintaining the real 159 and my other Alfas is certainly keeping me busy.

Have you seen the Grand Tour, with them crossing Scotland in three Alfas. Clarkson using the one from Octopussy ?

Oh yes, he actually kept that gtv6 and for a short time was a Facebook friend of mine on my Alfa Romeo club. Its a great film, but my favourite is the "disco volante" film, Clarkson references Thunderball showing he's a bit of a Bond aficionado too.

Love your 159 Chris. It's a future classic. GTV6 one of my all time faves.

    Very nice car.
    Love the design!
    The front is gorgeous.

Thanks Gents, I think the front end is a particularly brilliant piece of automotive design, with regulations on cars changing all the time I don't think we will again see designs that capture elegance and aggression quite so well. Even Bond himself admired the Alfa Romeo in the Moonraker novel.
