Time for another group-viewing, this time, it‘s

MOONRAKER

London Summertime: 20:00
Paris Summertime: 21:00
New York local time 15:00
LA local time 12:00

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WE ARE ALL STARTING 10 MINUTES LATER !

The 19:00 deadline is set so that everybody has enough time to find their DVDs/Blu Rays, boot their players and get done with the menus and pause right before the gunbarrel sequence.

WE ARE STARTING PRECISELY AT 19:10

- Please make sure that everybody has their BluRay/DVD/VCR ready and start the player latest 19:00 GMT to get done with all the dodgy menus.
- PAUSE YOUR PLAYER RIGHT BEFORE THE GUNBARREL SEQUENCE STARTS AND
- HIT PLAY PRECISELY AT 19:10.
I‘ll post some timecodes during the thread just in case that somebody has messed it up

now the astronaut in the centre with the extra-bonus plunging neckline, is she the one who works at the glass factory and who later beckons Bond into the caverns?
I think she's the only one who actually has a job, the rest are all titled aristocrat chicks.

    Yes, that's her.

    oh Moneypenny's daughter?
Barbel posted her picture in the Moonraker pros-n-cons thread as I recall

Oh must have missed that, I tend not to look at the
Pros and cons / ranking threads. I'll consider my
    Bottom readily smacked ;%

    People , I have a problem

On Friday, there is Phantom of the Opera

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C90eHuBPhS8&feature=youtu.be

Which I dearly would love to watch - maybe others as well.
    Can we move to Saturday?

here's Barbels post where he showed us two images of Moneypenny's daughter in Moonraker.
and evidence that you do too sometimes look in the Pros n Cons threads!

Saturday is ok for me, or we could all (minus one) watch LTK like N24 says!
  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,619MI6 Agent
    Not so quick.
I have no problem stepping back and let MR run in my absence.

Barbel or anybody else can performance the reminders and countdowns

I'll do it if necessary, but would prefer that someone else runs things leaving me free to waffle on at length about the music.

    MR score is magic!

And I am looking forward to reading Barbels insight when he‘s rewatching the movie!

Barbel, enjoy this friendly comment of mine, I promise, that it won‘t be soon with another one :D

I agree. It's often overlooked, as is the rest of the score.

Gymkata, Higgins and Barbel: If it's MR on Friday GMT 19.00 (BST 20.00) I'm happy to be Gymkata's back-up for time reminders for the countdown, in this thread, and for time markers along the way - or to take it on as lead since in the evening here I can pretty much guarantee being free.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

Plus the blonde on her right has a job as a tour guide around the glass exhibits.

As of now, I'm free at that timeframe on Friday. If nothing comes up, I can 'run' it. I'd prefer to have a back-up to be able to take over in case I'm pulled into a meeting, though.

Also: I look forward to having you go on about the music. I personally think that MR is Barry's best overall score. It's just wonderful, and the theme song is the most underrated of all of the themes (in my opinion).

Ok, handing over the responsibilities to Gmykata for only this one.

Looking forward to reading all your comments later on Friday night.

Gymkata, remember to insult Asp9mm unnecessarily at every opportunity and to point out how old I am ad nauseum. You have time (pun not intended) to swot up on every watch worn by every character no matter how briefly glimpsed.
  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,619MI6 Agent
And please mention Barbel wearing a skirt at least at once.

And you can‘t insult Asp9mm. He is like that :)) :))

Cool! (I've just been lucky enough to get an online groceries delivery order for tomorrow between GMT 18.00-19.00, so depending on when exactly it arrives I might be late for this one anyway.)

    What, in this skirt?
  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,424MI6 Agent
Sadly I can't join you in watching this time. But I'm impressed by how well you handle the responsibility, Gymkata. In fact you look like Moderator material to me :D

He's far too kind and understanding for that!
