I may not be able to make it fellers.
I finally figured out how to remotely login to my computer at work, and accidentally let my coworkers know. So now I'm getting barraged with about a months worth of requests.

If I do join, I'll probably be annoying and ask for a timestamp or three til I catch up

Nothing I can do on that...I medically can't consume alcohol (long story). I sure miss my single malt scotch, though...

A pity it isn't DAF we're watching tonight- there's a particularly fine quote I'd paraphrase to sympathise.

I think the unfortunate RAF young man, Richard, is the same actor whose character heroically lost his life as a naval officer offering to do his bit aboard the Liparus in TSWLM.

    Just some insider info:

During the everlasting negotiations between Cubby and Roger Moore, a new actor was cast and contracted.

Unfortunately after the first publicity shots, the new main actor suffered a sex accident and eventually Roger Moore was called again who kindly agreed to continue.

Here is a top secret image of the real movie poster

As said above, this is a great theme which is too often underrated.

I was so glad they included 'Arrival at the Chateau' too... a beautiful piece which really announces Barry's big new, graceful symphonic sound. Apparently he included the Bond Theme in the PTS under duress as it increased the proportion of royalties owed to Monty Norman.

Key of B major. Legend says it was offered to various singers (eg Kate Bush) before John Barry chanced to meet Shirley Bassey in a Brazil hotel. "John, Dahling!" she cried...

    Nikki van der Zyl?

The in-joke with Moneypenny about the implausibility of Bond's latest death-defying stunt is repeated later when he 'doesn't go there' either, with her, about the cable car exploit. It sort of brings the movie briefly back to earth...

I wonder if Cubby saw The Story of O with Corinne Clery before casting her? :o

Is it? Doesn't sound like her usual voice... Interesting, if so.
