The ever so slightly crestfallen look on the girl's face when she sees that Bond has beaten off the snake... it's like the look on the henchman's face when he realises that Bond has stopped the centrifuge force simulator... and both sort of refer back to Oddjob's mildly crestfallen look inside Fort Knox when Connery sees his chance to grab the steel rimmed bowler hat...

I don't think this brief cue for the countdown to the ignition, as Bond is in the chamber making for the air vent, is on any album, Barry's or Raine's?

Some really good compositing of live action with miniatures in the whole launch area sequence. Really well done work.
Timestamp: going into space now.
Derek Meddings again. Clearly relishing all the resources he now had at his disposal for this, compared with the Gerry Anderson TV shows he'd worked on, like 'UFO' and 'Space 1999'.

I'm missing Shane Rimmer's 'Scott Tracy' voice for radioed operational commands... but I guess he couldn't go back to bit-part voicework in a Bond after his substantial role in TSWLM as Captain Carter.

Lois Chiles' delivery sounds so non-plussed and casual through this part of the film. I know she was playing up to the idea of her character's professional cool, but even still...

lol!
It's lost on me. I'd have to look it up.
Obviously didn't have my wife on board then.
That's what I did. Not being American, I sometimes find... oh, wait.
