GIF of Dalton as he falls scared down the prison pillar when being attacked with the letter spike. That is hilarious. We must have that.

Gymkata, please! I could watch it then all day!

Kamran, the flawed romantic hero in this film who, if this was real history, might later have led the Taliban! An example of how the film-makers attempts to be topical at the time, now date the movie badly.

Music "Mujahadin And Opium" on the original release. Their spelling. Yes, resembles some of OP.

This is a bit too close to one of the Rambo sequels, where Stallone is pitched against Russians in Afghanistan.

Art, like Jeroen, pretty much became a designated 'bad guy' after this.

He was excellent in the version of "The Wolfman" starring Benecio del Toro- also with fellow Bond (well, sort of) vet Max von Sydow.

Some Mujahedin were not Islamic fundamentalists. The Northern alliance is an example of this.

This scene with Kamran hosting and mentioning his Oxford days sort of echoes Hussain in Egypt in TSWLM luxuriating in his harem and going on about being an old Cambridge pal of Bond's... but this is done in very different style.

Exactly. Seems like Rambo is the one that borrowed from this.
