    None of the Severnaya establishing shots are from anywhere on location. It's all model work by Derek Meddings. Genius though Meddings was, it nevertheless gives a relatively 'cheap' look to the film...?

    I didn't think so at the time. On subsequent viewings, it does become more obvious.
