Pierce is good in these moments reviving and reassuring Bond girls close to death... Bond's humanity comes through. (And sets up Craig/Vesper... the girl who couldn't be resuscitated.)
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.
Madsen seems a bit out-of-genre... but he adds value to this film, with nice touches
I respectfully disagree. He can be a great actor when he tries (he's amazing in KILL BILL Vol. 2, for instance) but he's embarrassing when he just shows up and speaks lines. He's really in 'phoning it in' mode here.
General Moon, Vlad and Mr Kil could all have been so much better with a director of real talent (I'm thinking of how Martin Campbell directed Xenia Onatopp, Ouromov and Boris in GE, or how Terence Young directed Kronsteen, Red Grant and Klebb in FRWL)

I agree
He's in a role similar to Admiral Roebuck in the TND PTS, but with more attitude and spark. The first time there's been some real Anglo-American tension in a Bond film since Lewis Gilbert and Lois Chiles tried but failed to inject some, in MR.

Not a good look.
Seconded
Still here
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

Thanks for the reminder, that’s something to look forward to :x
I forgot about that one

To my ears, all over the place again.
Need more shots of Pike...too much time is being taken up with unimportant things like Bond/Graves and Icarus

Oh yeah, it's part of the reason this is Arnold's worst 007 score.
You have to tell us more, Higgins, with pictures to back you up.
And just because I’m a man who enjoys the arts, what was the name of this play and is there a recording?
