    Only sexist misogynist ones.

(You clearly didn't get my previous paraphrase, but this one is in an even simpler vein- and there's a third)

Edit- Higgins, it's occurred to me that the German dubs may be different so the paraphrases may be meaningless to you in which case my apologies.

    Well, my joke then backfired.

Of course I know the line undubbed, but even with a lot of interpretational liberties, I am not able to put you nearby a sexist and misogynist category.

So, I was limiting myself to the dinosaur comment because rating a piece of music by its melody is so 60s :D

And stop apologizing, I‘d never do this :D

Dubbing is interesting, because the method causes some cultural barriers. I imagine people in countries with a lot of dubbing barely know how famous actors sound like. Does the German "Clint Eastwood" sound like him?
There is also the matter of quotes, as mentioned above. My younger sister was at a language school in England. The English and Norwegian pupils had fun quoting Monthy Phyton, but the Italians had no idea what was going on even though they knew Monthy Phyton from home.

In all this excitement, I've kinda lost track.

That's just shorthand- I may expand on how bad it is when we get to QoS. That's if we can hear it over the sound of David Arnold crying and John Barry rolling in his grave.

Be interested to hear why you think it’s so bad, it ticks all the right boxes for me - well, I could have done without Alicia Keys, I don’t think she really adds anything...

    Since you asked-

    The Intro:
    Best part. Catches the ear.

    The Verse:
Then lets it go. Melody not memorable, doesn’t build. Terrible lyrics.

    The Chorus:
Better than verse, which isn't saying much. Voices are harsh, blend poorly. Not Bondian*.

    The Turnaround:
    Not bad.

    Verse 2:
As for Verse 1. Too many syllables, amelodic.

    Chorus 2:
    As for Chorus 1.

    The Instrumental:
Messy. Orchestration ok, vox spoil it. Guitar starts promisingly but goes nowhere. Inclined to agree with Sam007, more of Jack White on guitar might have helped. Not cured, but helped.

    Verse 3:
    As above. Too many syllables.

    Chorus 3:
    As above.

    The Outro:
Intro again, with vocals on top unfortunately.

    * To paraphrase Louis Armstrong- if you have to ask what "Bondian' means you'll never know (he was talking about jazz, of course). Suggested cures include listening to John Barry's Bond scores like David Arnold did before writing a note.

Just popped into my head before the rewatch, I remember reading somewhere that there’s a difference between UK and US cuts of DAD re the Bond/Jinx sex scene. It probably isn’t that much of a difference but might need a thread time check after that scene to make sure everyone’s synced correctly.

I always did wonder why you didn't like it :s

It appears that apart from the verses, the chorus and the orchestration - you actually quite like it -{ :v :D

Ready here. (No UA logo anymore; the MGM logo is followed directly by the gunbarrel, so I've paused at the end of the MGM logo.)

    One question:

On my Blurays, I always have to manually browse thru a dozen of languages to turn off the subtitles.
Is that also the case with you.

Music- “On the Beach” Includes the gunbarrel music, which not all OSTs do. A bit longer on the extended version, released years later

It's cool how the three surfers appear in turn... suddenly there are three. (Three, like the 3 parachurists in the TLD PST)
