Hi,

can someone help me to identifie the sunglases worn by Chris Hemsworth in is new Netflix film Extraction.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but aren't the Ray Ban Caravan the model RB 3136? They are very similar to those in the film, but have thinner temple and brow/bridge pieces.

The temple and upper bridge seem a lot thinner on the Ray Ban sunglasses and if you look at the end of the temple it has a logo set into it which the Caravans do not.

Yeah the bridge, nose piece and temple tips definitely look different to the Caravans.

I don't think it is Ray Ban, there is no logo on the glasses, and the Caravans are thinner

They look like the Randolph Engineering Aviator II.

Not sure about the exact SKU but you can customize them in their site with those exact colors i think.

Again, very similar, but the sunglasses in the film have regular curved earpieces while Randolph sunglasses have straight earpieces. It also looks like the upper bridge of the film sunglasses are metal versus the acetate bridge of the Randolph.

I'm addicted to sunglasses too, and I love a good mystery so I'm trying to track these down! I reached out to the costume designer for Extraction, and she told me that the glasses Chris is wearing are Matsuda. Unfortunately, she didn't give me the model number and there are glasses that are very close to what he's wearing in their current collection, but not an exact match. The stems on any current Matsuda don't match the screen caps at all. Honestly, I first thought they were Tom Ford based on the logo on the stem, but there's not an exact match by Tom Ford either. I'll post updates as I find out more!

I understand the costume designer said they were Matsuda but I don't think so as the temples are all wrong and if you look at the frames they're completely gold where as the Matsuda pair have different frame colors on the front. Either they are from another company or the designer heavily modified them.

I’m ok with you, I don't see any resemblance to the Matsuda, maybe he had the choice between several pair of glasses and he didn't choose the Matsuda on screen

Agreed, I do not think that they are Matsuda either. Just passing along what the costume designer said. I have a couple of friends who are sunglass experts on the case and I'm confident we'll be able to figure out what they are!
