First Prop Build - Goldeneye Mine

Being on lockdown has finally given me some time to work on my first prop build. They’re far from perfect but I’m reasonably happy with them for a first attempt. Next stage is soldering the circuit for the flashing lights.

I was also given the wrong joystick that had additional buttons on the body. Rather than throw it away I decided to remove the extra buttons and use it as a way to practice using filler. Getting there but still needs some sanding down to get the shape right.

What prop builds is everyone else working on during lockdown?

    They turned out sweet, and well done with the filler. Remember, to make the mines screen accurate the side buttons need to come out and don't fill in the side button slots with filler but build a wall for them from the inside. I have two bases for this project, one has the extra top buttons you mention but I intend to leave them there to make one of the variants.

    Just using the delay time to work on some NTTD weaponry and finalizing some things for fellow collectors.
    Always have an escape plan. Mine is watching James Bond films.

    Welcome to the prop making world {[]
    The mines look really nice! Really well done for a first job!

    Crazy time of reusing existing object..!
    Regarding this particular item, it always make me smile when I see the joystick button slot and cable hole not filled on official pictures like on Desmond's biography cover

    Piton gun and barb looks stunning, François. Is it possible to put a laser inside the SA scope?

    Thanks Andrew. -{
    For the scope, it's not possible without breaking open the Ultradot. What I rather avoid.

    I designed the back spoon to include two bearings and a motor in order to spin. I currently do not have much time and would like to finish the gun so I will let it static for now but the possibility is open.

    If there is interest I can make a separate thread with the detailed build.

    Take care
