Wested Leather jacket sizing

Hi all,
I'm looking at purchasing a Wested Leather repro of the Morocco style jacket from Spectre and hoping people can advise on their sizing experience?
I'm usually small/medium in most jackets depending on the brand - eg can get into a small in Mango Men jacket such as the Matera alternative but take a 40 in a Baracuta harrington - (can get into 38, just slightly more fitted).
Currently thinking of buying a 38 in the Wested seeing as suede has a tendency to stretch out over multiple wears.
Would also appreciate any feedback on the Spectre London jacket, seems to have a mixed bag of reviews.
Cheers

The sizing is often spot on but their jackets are known to be excessively long !!!
Hi Fred,
Thanks for letting me know. What's been your experience? as judging by the measurements they provide they seem to be the right back length for my height - 5' 11
Cheers bosoxfan.
Well, long time ago, I ordered the "Days Of Future Past" Wolverine leather jacket and it was REALLY good but......way too long compared to the original jacket.
And being a member of the Filmjackets Forum, I can tell you that all members there experienced the same as me : body of the jacket always too long !!!
If I remember correctly, a custom order doesn't cost too much money from them. And if English is your mother tongue, then you could give them a call and ask exactly for what you want.....they make great work on custom orders it seems ;-)
I'm a pretty regular 40 and both the Skyfall and the Indy jackets fit well. I did have a 38 Indy jacket which I could easily get in but the sleeves were just a touch short. The Skyfall has longer sleeves as it's a motorcycle jacket style.
Here's a Morocco jacket that was on eBay recently. It was too big but the photos might give you a bit more of an idea:

Looks nice I think.
I see they've got a couple of Bond sale items on their site too:

Thanks for your input. I think once lockdown is eased I may go on an adventure to the shop as they're not too far from me.
Definitely tempted by that clearance stock of the Skyfall replica.
I don't own the Matchless one but i have seen two of them in person. They are really close. Two things i noticed is that the leather feels slightly lighter/thinner on the Wested and the collar is slightly sturdier on the Matchless.
Here is a photo of me wearing the size 40 Tan version. The SA Beige one was not available when i purchased it:
It might give you an idea of how it looks like.
And are you usually 40 in most jackets?
That looks really good I think.
The reason being I find shorter neck jackets like the cafe racer style don't suit me so seemed like having the Morocco in black would be a good alternative.
I am usually size EU48 / Medium and the Wested "Matchless" jacket I had in size 40. In hindlight, I should have ordered it in size 38 (which would be my regular size).
It was an appropriate length for me (175cm tall) so I think you should be fine as well with a size 38.
Nice quality, sheds a bit of the suede in the beginning but stopped after a few wears. The collar is indeed not as sturdy as the original Matchless jacket.
I am 178 cms (5'8'') and i am usually best fitted with size 40. On the rare occasions i will get a different size it will be a smaller size.
