    Silva's affronted response after Bond has inflicted the mortal wound on him and cheated him out of the ending he'd wanted... brilliantly comic!

    And Craig's delivery of "Well, I..." as a preface to his comic punch-line. This one phrase very briefly channels both Moore's Bond and Robert Vaughn's Napoleon Solo...

    Great end for,Silva!
    President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.

    Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

    Dench carries the emotional weight of this movie.

    The shots on the roof—more brilliant cinematography!

    Olivia Mansfield.

    Olivia = Judi Dench's middle name
    Mansfield = first M of the Secret Service

    It's a shame Eve is giving up active service (though she is caught up in the skirmish at the end of SP).

    Ahh well that was a brilliant rewatch! A fantastic film—cinematography, cast, locations, writing -{

    One of the best.

    I had a good time, even though the film is actually too good to discuss a lot.

    Garbel: can we get a photo of the Fleming manor in Scotland?

    Surprised that Bond goes for a quick dip in a subzero lake, then in the church scene—still with soaking clothes—isn’t shivering or turning blue!

    Can I suggest FRWL next time? WE were supposed to do that one anyway when Honour Blackman died and we watched GF instead.

    Now that we're done with the rewatch I'll jump back to the earlier mention of Taken 2. Took these screenshots (Taken is the one with the green/blue filter...and Liam Neeson) after watching it the other day and thinking "hey, I recognise that exact part of that one rooftop in that massive city of 15 million people".

    Taken 2: 4 October 2012, Skyfall: 22 November 2012...a busy couple of months for Istanbul in film!

    Thanks, JTM. I watched that film once then forgot all about it. (That's 'Taken 2", not "Skyfall"!)
