(c) has tracks which feature bits from different parts of the movie put together
Also, Peter Hunt would use and re-use cues or parts of cues from earlier or later in the film, or even cues which weren't from the film at all, as he saw fit.
I'll try to cover some of that while watching, but it'd be impossible to fit all the details in accurately in this context.

So was it Peter Hunt, then, who chose to put in brief cuts of Monty Norman's musical arrangements, from the climax of DN, against Bond felling the SPECTRE helicopter in FRWL, and the SPECTRE boats going up in flames? That snatch of music is quite effective with the violence of those moments, but it does stand out as not being any part of John Barry's work; i.e. it stands out as re-used music from another composer/arranger/film (DN).
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.
Clutching at straws now, but was the actor who plays Kronsteen's chess opponent - he has a line about Kronsteen's "excellent coup" - somewhere in DN as one of those background colonial types or in the Secret Service's signals HQ? (He looks the part, but I haven't checked!)

Of course, my mistake. I was thinking about Total Recall.
Now, if the Total Recall woman had been on the movie poster instead of Ekberg, that would have given Krilencu something even more notable to pop out of!

Yes, it was Hunt who did that, because the shooting of FRWL overran and Barry had to move on to his next film (if memory serves, "Zulu").

However, that isn't the answer unfortunately.

Are we still on? Movie start at my local time will be at 12:10 pm PST (California) I’ll watch the beginning with you guys but need to leave before 1 pm. I’ll watch it on my laptop so I can check out the 4k version by Amazon Prime. This will be my first Bond movie since the lockdown began!
