There's a missing scene here which I'd love to see someday if it survives- the Bulgar agent follows James to the boat, but Kerim blocks him off. They couldn't use it cos Grant had killed the agent in St Sophia! Apparently pointed out by Young's son.
Music- “Meeting in St. Sophia” Hitchcockian suspense music
Barry manages to give it an echoing quality and a sombre ecclesiastical sound.
Also, the background tour commentary... establishes a mini-Bond convention: the boat tour guide in the Amstel (DAF), The Land of The Pharoahs commentary in TSWLM etc
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.
I wonder what the people who worked on the Enigma during WWII (on both sides) thought when they saw FRWL? Did they understand Flemning knew about Enigma?

Kerim's missing line, "That's life!" Lost because of the continuity error.

Yes, and he worked hard to get a nice long ash on his cigar to flick off as he said it.

There could have been a large number of civilian casualties in Bond's and Kerim's bombing of the consulate... though none are visible. Plenty of civilian screaming though. Barry makes light of it in his use of '007'. Acceptable collateral damage?

Call yourself a Bond fan....
Read the books ten times then report back
I wrote "saw FRWL", not "read FRWL" :v
Yes, but the film does spell Fleming's name correctly...
Comments
All straight from Fleming- but James never turns the water in his bath off....
And badly covered Tattoo
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Yup, they used it for years afterwards.
