Not the best opening close-up of Moore with fur-lined face and shades
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

Good old machine that goes ‘ping!’
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

John Glenn is to blame for The Beach Boys bit. Kills the excitement for me. And lasts too long anyway.

Not The Beach Boys, a guy called Adrian Baker using the name “Gidea Park”. He later joined the real Beach Boys band

Music “Snow Job”. Turns up again later. A bit like OHMSS.

But a far cry from OHMSS unfortunately :#

The pinkish red flare smoke... very 80s

Always wanted to learn to snowboard. The tone of he music in AVTAK is odd, lots of guitar riffs and at odds synth noises.

Yeah, another fault of the sub is we never see the whole craft, unlike Nellie or Boatus.

Bond is the only action franchise people asociate with skiing. Will EON wait until Tom Cruise skis in IM?

Short version- At a party Duran Duran bass player John Taylor asked Cubby about his band doing the song for this film, and Cubby put them in touch with John Barry.

I quite like the idea with the black light effects

    Well executed!

Roger looks in really good shape here inside of the glaciar boat. Much better than he did in OP. Better shape, better skincare...I don't know.

Plastic surgery. (He admitted it later)

This credits sequence... so 80s in its aesthetic. Duran Duran were big Barry fans and sort of managed an okay synthesis of their style and his in the collaboration

Duran Duran was the group of the 80s that remain timeless.
This song is the only good thing about the titles.

This was Nic Raine’s first time as John Barry’s orchestrator. He continued in that role basically till Barry died and has recorded a lot of Barry and/or Bond music- often pieces or entire scores Barry himself never released.

I think Taylor asked why they don't hire a good band like Duran Duran anymore :))

Surrounding Roger with older actors so he's the youngest. At this point.
