The hunt is a very child friendly sequence

    It‘s much better in OP
And the elephants don‘t need shoes :D

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

So far this film hasn't had a single thing that I don't like...one or two cringeworthy moments appear now though

Tigers, crocodiles, leeches ick. Fun for all the family!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

The Tarzan yell is too silly even for this Movie :#

Kamal's rapid change of tone between "Get Bond!" (angry) and his calm "He won't get very far. We'll track him" - in the next scene - seems a a bit jarring. (That second short scene - "The Englishman has escaped!" - calls back to a parallel scene in OHMSS)
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

    MGW cameo! (Again)

This whole sequence is like 'Call Me Bwana Goes To India'. All you'd have to do is switch Moore for Bob Hope!

Machine that’s quite snappy the croc sub.

Never could fathom that one. Unless it’s a small scale of the Ice Flow?

    Music “Bond Meets Octopussy”

Octopussy’s backstory is from Fleming’s “Octopussy” short story though adapted slightly. Her surname is Smythe, and I guess her first name is Octavia.

The alligator disguise is barely more silly than Bond's seagull camouflage in the GF PTS.

I like Octopussy’s leftenants, unlike say Draxs women they are all different.
    Midge is particularly nice.

Really well incorporated here. Possibly another example of Maibaum creatively negotiating Fleming as source material to give it his own spin.

Wasn't Midge in one of the Top Of The Pops dance troupes at some point?

I’ve got it! The Pinewood Shots use flatter lighting.
It’s different from the other sequences and other films somehow?

Adams and Jordan are great, the are exactly the right kind of co stars for Moore’s take on Bond.
Not surprised they remained friends long after this.
