Faintly behind the horrendous noises can be heard the sound of uncontrollable weeping. It is none other than David Arnold, sobbing as though his heart would break as he kneels in front of his framed painting of John Barry.
“Forgive me, John”, he manages to gasp out even though his suffering ears are overwhelmed by the amelodic drone, “it wasn’t my doing! You have to believe me, I tried so hard- I even brought in Don Black and Shirley Bassey just like you would have done.”
“But they wanted to use this mess instead. You have to believe me, I did not write this!”
Even more faintly, the sound of John Barry’s body rolling in the grave can be made out….
I have a problem with this: in between the rather disturbing flash of a woman in the crowd being shot, and a later glimpse of folk gathering around her, we have this comic lady dropping her crate of cherries as if she's in a Roger Moore Bond film. I think Forster may have been wanting to make some sort of point.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.
The foot Chase is edited and shot better and the fight in the Tower is perhaps the best in QoS.

It’s an action sequence? Was M shot? Where is the other guard? How did White get out?
One civilian or two? I’m dizzy already.... the scaffolding motion is incomprehensible!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Love Arnold's Bond '69-style cue as Bond gets out of the car... especially as the bullet smashed windscreen may evoke a memory of OHMSS.

Ask Sir Miles. He knows.
In a glimpse you can see her moving away
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Somehow it always makes me think of Dr Evil's henchman having a deadly encounter with a vicious mutated sea bass.

No, she didn't. It's a clip earlier that makes it look as if she had been.
It looked like she ducked to me.
