I've always liked the shot where the camera 'jumps' onto the boat as Bond does the same on his motorbike.

It’s an action sequence?! Something involving powerboats possibly three?
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

As with so much in this film, Camille's back markings are never explained.

To that point, there's no way that a woman would wear a shirt like that with those scars. Most guys wouldn't either.

True, so we're supposed to notice it... and then it's never explained.

I assumed it was from the fire when she was a kid.

The editing has calmed down slightly.

Medrano is also a good, rather disturbing villain. He, Greene and Beam conceivably belong to the same dirty world. What's missing is a blast of moral outrage/ contempt in their direction... of the sort that Moore gave Orlov and Zorin.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

Could anyone explain how the whole boat/hook thing worked? Asking for most of the known world.

Bond driving the motorcycle into the harbour is shot well, the boat chase isn't.

A short piece of "No Good About Goodbye" played just there

I like the quiet moment after the action as Bond helms the boat away.

    Hey, I said "slightly"

Nice hint of the Bond theme as 007 arrives at the jetty. I always wanted more Bond theme in this film though.

I assumed that too... but only with hindsight when seeing the film again.

Olga Kurylenko looks good in that outfit and in brownface, but her lips looks too pale.

Machine that goes whip whap whoop.
M’s Stargate Atlantis like Memory wall.... All that’s missing is Sir Pat Stewart!

Leiter's glowering looks are a moral compass in this film.

Who would have been a great Bond villain back in the day. That voice saying "Ah, come in Mr Bond" would have been superb.

    David Harbour is fun here.

His generous moustache is a highlight of the film for me.

Forster's political background in protests against American foreign policy is in the background to how Beam is portrayed in this film.

Music “Night At The Opera” My favourite cue from this film. Haunting, atmospheric, builds nicely.

David Harbour does a great job as Beam...
The fact he makes Felix feel awkward is nicely played between him and Wright.

Greene and Elvis’s Evening suits look cheap.

Bond looks better in his tux than all the others.

Casting real women as extras, even on a glamorous occasion such as this night in the opera... as opposed to the model/glamour puss types of Bondian yore.
