I'm not quite sure if the chopper is destroyed, or whether it just ducks away.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

    Ok thanks

This is a Le Carre villan's plot in a Bond film.

The free fall stuff looks very poor....the likes of BJ Worth must watch in disgust.

Then again, the classic freefall sequences did include dodgy insert shots of the actors.

CGI on the smoke around the disintegrating plane not very well rendered.

Tim Piggott Smith makes me smile, he was Pegasus in the first Johnny English.
The fact M gets summoned to the FOminstead of the PM speaks volumes....Lady MacBeth indeed.
Both actors, are brilliant. Kinnear sets the scene nicely too, regretfully empty handed.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

They're in the cave. M is going to see Tim Pigott-Smith

I keep imagining Geoffrey Keen with Tim Piggott Smith's lines :-)

I liked this guy in V FOR VENDETTA. He has real presence to him.

Another weakness... Camille ‘S backstory actually makes Modrano more vile than Greene.
It undermines Greene’s position as the main Baddie.

    Scuse the pun.

    Music “Camille's Story”

There's something that doesn't quite work about the cave sequence. I don't like Craig's flat, clipped delivery.

That's interesting...I was also just thinking of Geoffrey Keen during that scene.

    Agreed.

If you haven't seen "The Death of Stalin" yet, I recomend it. I think it's Kurylenko's best film.

The way in which the villainy is 'distributed' between them works, okay, I think.

A friend of mine acted in a film with Olga Kurylenko. He had nothing but good words to say about her.

The movie was not good though.

For me, it isn't just that scene. :#

Another one of the good scenes in this film- M, Craig, oiled Fields.
  • Shady TreeShady Tree London, UKPosts: 3,012MI6 Agent
Forster doesn't make the most of the homage to Jill in GF. The image of the oil-covered body is striking and more should have been made of it.

The villan's plot has no urgency to it. No ticking clock (sorry about that, Higgins. I know you like ticking clocks :v )
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 38,068Chief of Staff
Like how Craig dispatches M's guys with no effort at all.

The cue Oil Fields is another of my favourites on the QoS soundtrack. Again, nice elements of the James Bond Theme.

Kinnear handles his thankless part very well.

Dame Judi is wonderful when telling Tanner Bond is onto something.
    She simply sparkles....

Felix is great as the reluctant ally too. He has realised he CAN play Beam like a piano!

I hate how M just changes her tune about Bond... jarring inconsistency. It's a crass and clunky take on her ambiguous feelings about her agent, explored far better in other films.

Edited that, and fixed it for you. :)

The elevator scene would have been better if they had shown him being walked into the elevator, then cut to the doors openning wiht the guards on the floor and Bodn walking out of the elevator.

Wright and Craig are fantastic together- James and Felix to a T
