Connery was good friends with Sid James who he starred with in a pre-Bond film

    Hell Drivers, with Patrick McGoohan. -{
. Wow, must see that at some point.
(Cackles like Sid James). Though Kenneth Connor is my comedy icon.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    It's worth repeating:

    Worst. Felix. Ever.

Hamilton shoots Connery and Jill St John in bed in a very similar set up to Christopher Plummer and Susannah York in his 'Battle of Britain'
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

A plot weakness in the film is the way bits were cut out which explained how Plenty ended up at Tiffany's apartment later, only to be killed. But who cares about the plot hole? Not the original audience, for sure... it's all excellent fun!

Cutting that scene was a big mistake. In general the quality of the fim starts dropping around now.

Hear hear! I am also a big Kenneth Connor fan. One of the most underrated of the Carry On stock company I feel.

Maybe one day we'll get an extended edition...?

Disagree. I love his jaded cynicism, Mankiewicz lines and jowelly look mirroring Connery's. He's the right Felix for this movie.

Barry’s score is superb, unfortunately he would never hit the same height again in a Bond movie (in my opinion)
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

Agree totally. Also good in occasional appearances with The Goons.

Totally unlike how Felix should be, IMHO

The kid yelling at Tiffany at the sideshow has great attitude... similar attitude to Tiffany herself at the petrol station later...

The Living Daylights is my personal favourite Barry Bond score.

I love how Hamilton/Mankiewicz relax enough to go off piste with the sideshow humour in Circus, Circus. The funny professor overseeing the girl-to-gorrilla transformation is kind of a caricature of Metz, who is himself a caricature...

Only an adolescent boy would notice that. So, Yes.

Not least because Nairobi is nowhere near South Africa. That's as bad as saying Lisbon is in Russia.

Music “Following The Diamonds” Love this one, very atmospheric. I was very glad to find this included on the 2003 remaster

(This is the one that was looped earlier)
