The dream sequence was to make as much use of Sellers as possible, since he walked off the film before finishing his part
Some of the stuff in OHMSS as Blofeld hypnotises his angels of death at night, and when Bond is knocked unconscious in Ruby's room, is slightly psychedelic too.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

VERY Very very vaguely. A bit. Sort of.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
...and now the film begins to vaguely resemble the novel (and therefore the 2006 film)
Just a few more magic tricks than the 2006 version.
It actually does this quite well. The tension between Bond and Le Chiffre over the baccarat table is good... perhaps given an edge, too, by the irl hostility between the two actors at the time.

There are some good lines
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
It kind of becomes so obviously bad it’s hilarious...
Bit like watching Absolutely Fabulous, then watching it while high. Very High.
Accompanied by a dreamy image of Vesper almost wearing a very nice little nothing.
True, but that's a different movie!

Again, a long story

Not to mention the Native American paratroopers.
