The Bond films are known for the fantastical homes/bases they build for themselves, but what other films have villans with lairs you would kill for? I'm not mentioning any because I want to know how many you know, and not at all because I can't think of any right now and fear the embarrasment when I'm remind me the ones I should have known :p

The lairs in Our Man Flint and In Like Flint are really good. Also, Batman (1966) has a brilliant submarine for the villains, with flippers :))
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.

the Death Star is one of the great ones, and they spend a good chunk of the movie exploring the corridors, the prison cells, the trash compactor with its unseen vermin. The sequels kept trying to reintroduce the Death Star, but it was never so interesting again.

Lando Calresian's office, which Vader was occupying, sort of counts, in a subletted air-b&b sense. It was certainly a beaut. Star Wars in general had incredible architecture, even if it didn't always make 100% sense.

Batman villains traditionally had great evil headquarters too, though for some reason can't think of a specific one at the moment. Batman villains always had thematic designs to make their HQ unique from the competing villains.

The villains in both Incredibles movies had stylin' Adam-inspired HQs,and when we went inside were accompanied by swangin' Barry-style music.

What about Mordor? Sauron had a whole desolate wasteland of a country, surrounded by a wall of mountains on all sides and a volcano in the centre, does that count? We never do see Barad-dûr, the building in which he "lives", it's much too Evil to be actually depicted.

    The Bates Motel (Pyscho).

Would be a great film IMO for the 'Watching the 007 movies together?' thread now that the Bond films are finished. That or 'Dial M for Murder' I think would also be great.
