QoS Harrington

Probably been done to death but is the Royale Harrington and the Baracuta G4 the best alternatives to the TF or are there any others?
Yes. Considerably!

    DZ was kind enough to gift a Royale to me, it is a direct copy of the Tom Ford screen one, as far as I know -{

    The Royale QOS Harrington is awesome. I've got one each of the last two models, and I'll probably be buying another one when his new model comes out (along with a cream colored one).

    Really glad I saw your post. I've been interested in the cream jacket he's doing. I didn't know he was doing another navy as well. Just shot him a message to confirm I'm still on the mailing list as I haven't gotten any emails since March when he was unsure about the cream going ahead.

    what is the latest status on the new one, I'm on the list and I thought it was getting close to the magic "enough" number at least for the navy model

    Yeah, I'm pumped as well.

    For everyone else:

    Link to navy colored Harrington: http://royalefilmwear.storenvy.com/products/30565192-quantum-harrington-jacket-2020

    It sounds like both will be using the new fit, as described in the cream colored link.

    The Royale Harrington is a seriously great jacket. I've received several compliments when wearing it out and about.

    I've looked at the sizing chart of the last run to get an idea and am agonizing over the small or medium.

    To OP, Magnoli also does a replica, but it is more expensive than the Royale and it doesn't look as accurate. From pics it seems the pockets are off. It's probably best to wait for Royale to release the new version.

    Thanks Big Z... :)

    Having been knee capped with production a few months ago... I was looking at the beige version (I especially like the new fit) and as time passed I decided... you know what, I think I may just be crazy enough to do another run of the these dark navy bad boys haha... (Always getting harrington emails haha) The new version will have a tad more length than the 2019 version, just enough and we are pitching the collar forward slightly so the top of the collar will nestle just under the chin, you'll see that in the beige harrington photos of the sample on the store. It's a small detail that escaped me, but I wouldn't forgive myself for not improving on it if I could. I don't think they'll take too long to produce, my manufacturer knows the drill with these :)) :)) :))

    Also, just to reiterate as mentioned on the store, this beige harrington sample is an XL, so not the best fit in the photos as I'm basically always a Large... the fit in the right size will be pretty slick. The photos are me trying to make it look like it fits properly :))

    Loving the new colour it’s on my list for sure!

    Just a question on sizing back in the day (maybe version 1) I grabbed a Navy Medium, with all the changes made over the years would you say stick with that or downsize for the new version?

    For the Haiti was a small in the end having tried both S and M.

    Cheers :007)

    I've thought a lot about it... it's a great jacket, goes with everything. I think if I did it would be a pretty restricted run, I do know there is a Y-3 original project underway, but not sure how that's really progressing for everyone. I wouldn't rule out doing it again but it would likely be a fairly limited run.

    Very hard for me to say Bond44, sizing has changed so much over time especially with the harringtons. Unfortunately, I don't even have the originals anymore for comparison, they went back to my manufacturer butchered with changes haha... I paint in broad strokes and he pulls it together for me, he's the real genius of this operation :)) As always, I highly recommend to measure up your best fitting jacket and compare with the specs given in the table it is really the best way to go. I can't really make a sizing suggestion until I have the final product in hand just in case there's a curve ball... (there's usually a curve ball) but rest assured I'll have the most accurate sizing table I can produce, once I receive them. :007)

    Thank you for the reply! That Y-3 remake seems to have stalled out. Also, if I’m being honest and I am :007) , I’d rather buy from someone in the Bond community and keep the money in our community. I’m new to the community so I haven’t purchased anything from you yet, but it’s only a matter of time. I may consider buying a Harrington if there is no chance for a Haiti jacket from you. Unless I found a screaming deal for the SA Y-3 I’m spending my money with you.

    That's gonna be a problem ;) I'm looking at a small too.

    Can't decide between the beige that is beautifull or the screen accurate navy one. I'm leaning on the navy.

    Having briefly owned the Tom Ford version (with leather accents) in light beige it is a beauty. I already have a beige Baracuta G9, so I don't need it. I wonder how much willpower I will have this weekend?

    I got mine today. They were shipped Tuesday and made it all the way to Indiana in just a few short days. Totally surprised by that.

    Anyway, both the navy and beige are amazing. I'm glad I went with the small. They fit me pretty well and there's room to bulk up. The cotton feels great. All my previous jackets that fit in the fall/spring category have been polyester or some kind of mix so this is a nice change.

    Attention to detail is pretty good. The stitching is good overall. Some sloppiness here and there, but it's mostly on the inside so not noticeable. The sloppy stitching on the outside is minimal and I only noticed it cause I went over them closely. In reality no one will notice and I will probably forget about it.

    Dan did a fantastic job. I'm eagerly looking forward to the run of the Haiti jacket next year :) -{

    Edit: Adding for reference on sizing. I'm 5'7", 130-135 lbs, about 36 in chest and 31 in waist. Like Greg137 said below, the sleeves are also a smidge long on mine, but using the second button stops it from falling over my hands so I won't be changing anything there. The overall jacket length is good too. When Dan said he lengthened them on this run I was a bit worried since I'm on the shorter side, but the length is perfect.

    I just received my size medium Royale Filmwear cream Harrington. I’m very happy with the fit. Sleeves are a bit long but that’s about it. No need to have it taken in. For reference I’m 5, 9” 170 lbs.
