Bond and Continents

Out of the world's 7 continents, the only ones Bond has never been to are Australia and Antarctica. Antarctica is understandable, but when will bond ever set foot in Australia? I really hope we get to see that someday.
Here are some examples of how many countries bond has been to in each continent:
Europe - UK, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Albania, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway (soon to be), Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Turkey, Czechoslovakia (when it still existed), Czech Republic, Yugoslavia (when it still existed), Montenegro, Azerbaijan, Gibraltar (a UK territory but worth a mention)
North America - USA, Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti, The Bahamas. Also the fictional San Monique and Isthmus
South America - Brazil, Bolivia
Asia - Japan, China, India, North Korea, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Russia/USSR, Lebanon
Africa - Egypt, Morocco, Madagascar, Uganda (in the film but bond doesn't go there), South Africa (small scene in DAF without bond)
Australia - Zilch
Antarctica - Zilch
So yeah, Australia is really due a visit.
South America is also very underused, with only Moonraker and QOS visiting there (I'm not sure where GF's PTS is set, but if it's central America then that classes as North America)

What about the PTS of Octopussy? Is that supposed to be Argentina, or somewhere else entirely?
On another note, Australia would be a great future Bond location. There could be a villain's lair set in the Outback Desert, underwater action in the Great Barrier Reef, and interesting urban cinematography of Sydney or Melbourne. On top of that there are poisonous spiders, snakes and sharks for Bond to contend with...
I'd also like to nominate Eastern Europe, as outside of the Czech Republic Bond hasn't really ventured here. I think Poland or Hungary for instance, could provide striking cityscapes if used well...

I forgot about OP's PTS, I'm not sure where it's supposed to be, I always thought Cuba but I don't think the film states where?

Bond was in Canada in For Your Eyes Only and The Spy Who Loved Me, book versions. In the book, it was Mexico. I don't think there's any dialog in the film to contradict that, even if it's not stated explicitly.
And it's hard not to think of Mission Impossible 2, which made it all look rather boring, really. It's not a very exotic place.
Irma Bunt is still alive, breeding giant mutant desert rats "the size of a Yorkshire Terrier" in a place called Crumper's Dick (not found in GoogleMaps). The rats are breeding so fast they will destroy the farming industry within one year, and will take over the cities within two, unless Bunt is paid a ransom of one billion dollars!
so, an Unseen Mission, but at least we know what the villain's up to.
Raymond Benson's Zero Minus Ten novel also had a bit set in Australia I think: that was because the baddie had a uranium mine there, which I guess isn't a terrible reason. There was quite a decent idea of Bond being forced to walk through the outback for many many miles as I remember.

Definitely needs to happen, I've been wanting Oceania in a long time.
I don't make the middle-earth connection, I mean, Oceania has existed long before middle earth was invented. Australia and NZ are a must.

The villains headquarters did blow up after Frodo unmade the ring.

To the best of my knowledge, the only time Canada has served as a location in a Bond film was TSWLM when the epic PTS stunt was shot in Auyuittuq National Park near Pangnirtung on Baffin Island in Nunavut which was doubling as Austria.
So after making this post, I learned that there is actually a Santiago in Cuba also.
So it might still be Cuba and not Chile afterall.
I guess we will see.... I'd prefer Chile, just for the reason that Bond (on film) has already been to Cuba and has never been to Chile before, plus South America as mentioned is under-represented in bond films
