It's hard to believe that Furie would go on to direct SUPERMAN IV: THE QUEST FOR PEACE. It's not just the worst Superman film, it's honestly one of the worst films ever made. Just embarrassing.

I'm guessing it's a bit like our beloved Peter Hunt making Wild Geese II...I've never seen it, but it sounds rather dire.

The reveal of the London bus is a fantastic moment. I love how it pulls the rug out from under the viewer's feet.

I understand why people like Funeral in Berlin, but honestly I prefer Ipcress in all departments...cast, script, photography, music. In fact I even prefer Billion Dollar Brain to Funeral in Berlin in the area of cast and music. But I do love seeing the 1960s period location work that they did in Berlin.

I get a certain satisfaction from how the programming of "listen to me..." works against Dalby in the final scene and Palmer ends up shooting him as "the traitor" as a result. And to cap it off we get a reprise of Barry's 'A Man Alone' theme...lovely stuff {[]

It just flows without real highs and suspense.

You must have watched a different film.

I'd forgotten how interesting some of the camera angles and stagings are in this film- very unique, in contrast to the occasionally workmanlike direction of the Bond films. Overall its a nicely grounded counterpoint to 007, if a little convoluted in the plot department at times.

Ha! And now it's BBC Two right at the moment. Funny how you guys keep picking films right before they're screened on UK TV! :)

And even though I'd watched it on Friday evening, I still ended up watching bits of it again!
