Parker Jotter Pen: A Bond Prop or Not?

I currently have in my possession an unused standard Parker Jotter pen. My question today is, can the normal Parker Jotter be legitimately considered a 'Bond prop' of sorts, given its appearance in GoldenEye? Or has the design/model changed since then and this no longer applies? Can anyone with more prop knowledge than me help to clarify this?

I definitely consider it as a Prop and the model seems pretty identical to me.

Moreover, you may have seen it in Ed thread, you can go crazy about thinking how the grenade is made.

I have another question to Prop experts: does the original prop had a led?
In the Archive Tokyo catalogue(or the Italian version), the pen has a red light... ?:)

They made ones with a flashing LED, but they were never used on screen. Purely as it would have been a continuity nightmare during the scene with Boris clicking it on and off constantly. Plus, it was too obvious.

The idea that Q would create a secret bomb that calls attention to itself with flashing lights doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I'm glad they didn't go with that.

I've definitely got the deluxe GoldenEye VHS boxed edition somewhere which came with a Parker pen; I can't remember if it had the GoldenEye logo on or not without digging it out..?

He did make a bug detector that beeped though!

I think the design is the same. I remember watching a video about the design and manufacture a few years ago.

The design of the clip has changed somewhat since then but pens from that era are pretty easy to find second hand!

The newer design has a rounded end to it and the arrow clip is slightly different.

The screen accurate jotter has a recessed end to the clicks bit with the Parker P engraved inside it.

I would definitely say it is considered a Bond Prop. It's a great way for $10 to have an Invisible Bond Moment as David at The Bond Experience likes to say.

Are they easy to find? I haven't had any luck. In Aus - looking on ebay + gumtree + fb marketplace

Probably one of the most common pens anywhere.

I recently picked up a vintage 1995 pen off ebay. It's been mailed but hasn't arrived yet. Not hard to find.

I feel very old now that 1995 is vintage.
