I realised it probably would have helped and made more sense if i had at least included some pictures of my jacket so you can see what i was talking about! My wife thinks it makes me look like an 80s throwback....not sure if that is a good or bad thing )
BTW my legs are not that thin its the angle of the picture ) I don't skip leg day
I never realised how stupidly long the sleeves were until now.
I am wondering if it makes sense to get it tailored or sell it? Obviously if I tailor it now that will reduce the sale price but its not really wearable in its current state.
I honestly think it looks fine: it's a motorcycle jacket- the sleeves are supposed to be long. Have a look at Tom Cruise wearing it or whatever: it looks fine with long sleeves. Have you tightened the belt up though..? That's just accentuating the V shape a bit; I'd loosen it off. If you ask me it's a jacket which looks better a bit baggy rather than tailored. And having longer sleeves just means they're more aesthetically pleasing when they ruck up a bit (not to mention most leather jackets' sleeves actually shorten slightly with wear as they crease up naturally).
I don't think so...? It's raining outside but he's already indoors in M's house, isn't he? And he wouldn't mind ruining it as he'd be given a fresh one in the next scene anyway!

We can assume Bond doesn't treat the jacket as precious, and is fine wearing it in the rain, negating any "poncey" concerns :P

All I meant by the ponceyness is the faux distressing... it's maybe a bit sort of fake and precious. It does look nice and I like mine, but it doesn't feel like one of my most resilient jackets.

I have not touched the waist i've not even worn the jacket outside my house yet....its as it arrived from new but yes it gives me a crazy v shape...i look like i have the body shape of an ice cream cone. I think i would be too worried to get it tailored, and yes i agree with all comments on here that biker jackets are meant to have longer sleeves and with time they do ride up the arm...i think i can live with the arm length but ;less so the shoulder pads. Overall i think i probably should have sized down and got a size Small which seems crazy given i am a 40R.
I had my sleeves taken up. I use this jacket whenever I go out to take photos in the fall/early winter and I always kinda regret having them raised. Mostly because I'd have rather kept my wrists protected from wind when I hold my camera up. I'm really happy with how it looks/wears otherwise.
