Let's talk about film generes that are rare now that you would want more of in the coming years, but also generes you feel have outstayed their welcome.
I would like to see more westerns, spoof movies and dramas in cinemas. On the other hand I think we need a long break from superhero movies.
What do you think?

BIBLICAL EPICS
-Casino Royale, Ian Fleming
"Found footage " Horror films, I really hate them X-(
Serious westerns, in the vein of say the Coen brothers' True Grit rather than parodies like A Million Ways to Die in the West.
Gangster films.
Grand historical epics, possibly in the sword and sandal genre.
Go out of fashion:
Superhero films, at least those made in the Marvel in-house 'style', which has gotten stale by this point.
Video game movies.
"The spectre of defeat..."
Men on a mission moviers like Where Eagles Dare and The Guns of Navarone. Or women on a mission for that matter. I wish Jackdaws by Ken Follelt was made as a movie. The story is much more about espionage than the two classics I mentioned, but I think it wouldhave worked.
Non animated family films
Original handrawn animated movies like from the classic Disney era.
Spoof films in the vein of the carry on films, airplane, Mel Brooks etc

No, I haven't. Is it any good?
I'd love to see a few witty word play comedies returning, with plenty of
Fast interacting dialogue. Rather than just another gross out comedy
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy was on tv at the weekend. I recorded it and will watch it later. I've seen it before, ages ago but I don't really remember it.
I'd also like to see historical films like Selma, the story of Martin Luther King. David Oyelowo did a fantastic job portraying MLK.
