WTB: Barbour x Tokito

Hi all,

Looking to buy a Barbour x Tokito jacket as seen in Skyfall in size Medium.

Not interested in any Dept B or lookalike types.

I have an N.Peal Turtleneck Sweater from the original Spectre Poster in Medium Charcoal Grey. This isn't sold by N.Peal anymore as far as I know and comes with the original box, certification and packaging. I'd be willing to trade this with cash for the jacket.

Failing that also willing to offer cash straight up.

Many thanks!

Hi thanks for linking this. I have seen this and I am currently talking to the seller. I'm unsure about the price of it though. Is that the genuine price for one of these jackets now? Are they likely to increase in value further?

I'm not an appraiser. But I'd consider a good condition, unaltered (meaning no attempts at making it screen accurate have been made) Tokito with the hood a steal at $800. So $950 seems reasonable, if maybe a little high.

Thanks again. I could negotiate the price on that so I reckon I could possibly offer around the steal price. You seem to know more about them than I; do you think they will increase in value? I've had a lot of Barbour jackets for over decades so this would be nice to add to the collection, albeit if the value of the jacket increases over time I'd need to consider keeping it a bit safer.

This one in the auction looks like it needs a good amount of wax to refresh it......also, I guess it is not from the first run looking at the even buttons on front !!!

I think these jackets were once selling for higher, and might have peaked as far as "value" goes.

I’d agree with that, needs a full rewax by the looks of it. I’d argue that in my offer for the jacket.

Is there a big difference between first runs and subsequent ones? Apologies but I was unaware there even was more Than 1 run of the jacket.

Interesting, good to know. Not expecting them to appreciate any further then.

First run (and SA one), has uneven buttons on front. Following run had even buttons. The Commander and Beacon models also have the uneven buttons to copy the To Ki To SA model....

Interesting, I didn’t know that. Thanks for letting me know.

Like anything that’s had multiple releases / versions, they become less valuable to most people as long as you can get some version of it. Funny that some later versions are actually more screen accurate than the “original”.

I know you said no lookalikes but the new Barbour high end jacket with the leather pockets is better to me. Although not screen worn. I believe they call it the super commander or something like that. And I recall from the description that they added the stuff that was missing or removed from the old Commander jacket. So I believe it's a higher end or top end version of the Tokito.

I honestly thought you were joking with the name...but nope, the Supa Commander. They’ve got it in black also.

After having a good look through their site, apparently the “Supa” range is their Gold Standard versions of their regular collection jackets. Didn’t know that. Quite a few good looking jackets in that range.

    I posted a slimmed up Large To Ki To for sale. May not be what you're looking for, but I had to go large originally because of how narrow the shoulders were on the medium. It fits like the medium I had, except slightly longer and broader shoulders. -{
