So someone from EON gifted it to a designer? How would that work? Maybe you should ask Meg Simmonds ?
Even if it was made during S.D. Studios licence it would look old as that was back in 1995, what might prove it is taking the lighter off of the cigarette case and show how they fix together.
The accompanying envelope is hand written ? anyone could have done that.
You see, your story of it being gifted by someone just docent ring true, why would you give a master to a chippy, and was it a master produced by Colibri or EON ? there is NO history of it from my time at EON and I have assisted Meg on several occasions, so are you saying it was made by Colibri ? If it was the property of Colibri WHY would they gift anything to someone that worked on a film production ?
I wonder, why there weren't any shots of this wooden nightmare stripped into parts? I'm in no way expert, but by judging the pics the pen/barrel looks the part (not going into more details of the pen part) and when Factory Ent. did the first run of the replica, the fountain pen was wrong. Now they did another run mk2 and their barrel/pen ain't SA.....fool me once, fool me twice...and so on...
Knowing who to trust is Everything in this business.

If the family have had it for 47 years they're not necessarily going to know exactly who originally made it, especially if it was a gift.
