Different cuts? - I’m convinced I’ve seen two.

I’ve seen NTTD 5 times now and I’m convinced I’ve seen two slightly different cuts.

4 times in theatres. 3 UK & 1 Canada. I’ve also seen a stream.

In the scene where Bond meets Safin on the island, when Safin has Matilde.

I’m convinced the line delivery is different across two versions, particularly “History isn’t kind to men who play god”.

This might just be the Mandela Effect but has anyone got any info on this?

It's been said on this forum but the line you quote is stated more defiantly by Craig in the trailer than in the film, not sure if there are different prints however.

"This is where we leave you Mr Bond."

I’m 100% convinced I saw the ‘trailer read’ on opening midnight showing in the UK.

Re this - I do think the trailers were quite clever in that lots of the big lines were delivered by different characters. Bond for example doesn’t say “The past isn’t dead”. Bits of Blofeld interrogation played up in trailers are delivered off screen when tanner and Nomi are speaking etc…
