Thanks for that; all of the 'earlier this week' stuff is odd as Mr Marinello said back in August that he believed he had confirmation that it's in this location (and has been saying for years he's believed it's in the Middle East).

Some months ago, art recovery "expert" Christopher Marinello was making the rounds of chat shows, etc. announcing that, basically, he had "a really good idea" where the car was. Frankly, all he was doing was making a name for himself and his company.

Nothing has changed since then save that a couple of other sites recently picked-up the story and in classic mishandling of details, changed it from "could be" to "is."

The car has not been found. In fact, Marinello's site is still offering the same reward for clues that they've been offering for years:

Well no, I think part of his appearing on various shows was to increase awareness of the car and to divine some leads through publicity. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s his job.

And the difference to those initial suspicions to the news in August is that they’re saying the chassis number has now been confirmed by a third party. That they haven’t updated their website and are still open to further leads isn’t a sign that they’re telling porkies, I don’t quite get the hostility. Why do you think he isn’t an expert?
