I’m all for character development too, although I’ll disagree over Dalton’s ability, as I think generally he made a pretty poor screen Bond. Craig is the one that felt the most like a real person to me; not completely the book Bond, but sometimes more interesting than that.
Yes, I agree. I think that a 'novel' way forward for the next run of Bond films after NTTD could be to make period pieces, with a faithful adaptation of 'Moonraker' included as part of it.
