Your top 5 most rewatchable Bond movies?

(I did a search on this topic and found nothing.)

Not necessarily your favourite Bond movies, but what are the 5 Bond movies you frequently watch over and over again?

Mine are:

TB - the first epic Bond movie

TSWLM - this one has everything; the beautiful Bond girl, memorable Bond theme song, the cool villain's lair, the unforgettable villain's henchman, fantastic sets and the cool Bond car.

OP - I've always liked this one ever since I first saw it; excellent escapist entertainment

TND - entertaining action-packed movie

QOS - count me into the camp which likes this movie (I think the climax is one of the franchise's best)

I seem to watch these more than others, not necessarily through choice, just because they may be on TV more, or just when I'm free to watch on TV. Probably these are watched more causally, as I tend to save my favourites (love them all, of course) and actual Top 5 (OHMSS, TSWLM, FRWL, CR, LALD) for special occasions and when the mood is right.

    Mine:

    1. SPECTRE

    2. SkyFall

    3. The World Is Not Enough

    4. Octopussy

    5. Quantum of Solace

As @The Red Kind said, they're not great but they have the most rewatchable factor for me.

It's different from my actual Top Five, which consists of my personal favorites (SF, OHMSS, TWINE, FRWL and FYEO) though two of them (TWINE and SF) made it, these five films above again were just based on rewatchabilty, not my favorites, which is again, different.

These are the ones that I find myself returning to most frequently:

Goldeneye - it's a childhood nostalgia fest for me, and every time I rewatch it I am impressed by the quality of the dialogue.

The Living Daylights - Great performance by Dalton, and it really feels like a Bond film, which LTK doesn't always. Also possibly my favourite Bond soundtrack.

Octopussy - I find all of the 80s film very rewatchable, and Octopussy in particular because of the locations, the charm of Moore, and his chemistry with Maud Adams.

From Russia With Love - My overall favourite Bond film. The thing that makes it so rewatchable for me are three of the best supporting characters in the series: Kerim, Klebb and Grant. Also, I love anything on a train and Barry's music is particularly atmospheric.

Live And Let Die - So 70s, so much fun. I love George Martin's score, and some of the action sequences are really memorable. Also, the humour. When I watch LALD, even the sillier characters like Mrs Bell and JW Pepper seem right at home in this film.

Films that are unlucky to miss out on my list: Casino Royale, A View to a Kill, On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

I dont think I have a "top five", theyre all pretty easy to watch one more time whenever I want, except...

I intended to watch Craigs first four before the last film came out, and right up to the day I saw the movie I couldnt be bothered. Same when I finally got the dvd. It seemd I should because of the continuity, but every time I sat down to watch a movie there was always something else I preferred to use those two hours for. I want something fun and escapist, and theres still lots of vintage 60s spymania I havent got to yet that I generally enjoy more. whereas those Craigs just felt like homework I was avoiding.

Wow, this is kinda my list too.....well almost! in no particular order....

Dr No - it's like being on vacation, plus Connery, and it seems short enough to do a quick view

From Russia with Love - i mean what's not to love? its perfect

Octopussy - again, like going on vacation but to more exotic places, the Bond girls are special in this one, and its the 80's

License to Kill - love the soundtrack, the story of absolute complete revenge, Sanchez, Dalton, 80's, forever on rotation

Live and let die - this is actually my 6th favorite Moore film, but again its like being on vacation, its just always on for some reason.

    1. Octopussy - a fun-filled adventure from start to finish, that's not afraid to add a serious, espionage-like story in the second half
    2. The Man with the Golden Gun - a really cool concept, awesome villains and locations, and the wackiness in the second act is fun
    3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service - a classic through and through, the sense of adventure and romance has never been outdone in the series
    4. A View to a Kill - a guilty pleasure, Walken and Jones steal the show along with Barry's awesome soundtrack
    5. The Living Daylights - another killer score from Barry, the romance here is wonderful, bettered only by Majesty's and Casino Royale, and the espionage story is great, especially in the first half
    1. CR 2. OHMSS 3. GE 4. TLD 5. OP 6. FRwL 7. FYEO
    8. TMwtGG 9. AVtaK 10. TSWLM 11. SF 12. LtK 13. TND 14. YOLT
    15. NTtD 16. MR 17. LaLD 18. GF 19. SP 20. DN 21. TB
    22. TWiNE 23. DAD 24. QoS 25. DaF

Probably the Guy Hamilton films, in particular Diamonds are Forever because of the witty dialogue and Barry's unique score, I just can't see it resembles any other Bond film or any other film for that matter. Also, Goldfinger and Live And Let Die. There's a smoothness, an almost camp quality which of course others dislike.

Moonraker is up there, in fact the film on telly takes me back to being a kid while seeing it again at the movie theatre didn't. GoldenEye I don't really like but in terms of turnover of interesting scenes, it's watchable. I tend to prefer films on telly that don't have a long-winded drawn out ending, so I'm not mad about YOLT or TSWLM or even OHMSS. Certainly not TB. I prefer things to skip along nicely then bow out quickly. The Living Daylights could have fulfilled that brief but the direction and Dalton's way with a joke make it heavy going for me.

The 5 Bond films I find myself rewatching the most are:

Thunderball - Bond saves the world in a larger than life story. Smack dab in the den of vipers that is Spectre at their most deadly.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Probably due to this being the sole outing for Lazenby and Rigg in the entire franchise. But I rewatch this film to get more out of their performance. Each time is a joy.

Octopussy - This film is so exotic and energetic. At 55, Moore was giving it his all during this non-stop action romp. All the action, all the chases, all the locations (from Latin America, to India to West Berlin).

License To Kill - Delivers that late 80s crime thriller energy. The likes of Miami Vice, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard and Beverly Hills Cop 2 delivered. Dalton took no prisoners in a film that lived up to it's title.

Casino Royale - Tough, smart, suave and cool. Bond's return and origin always delights. Love the casino scenes and Le Chiffre the most. I also enjoy this film for still having the Bond style. Later films; Skyfall, Spectre and No Time To Die leaned too heavily into "auteur" presentation for my tastes.

To make it rewatchable it has to be a standalone mission, fun and without too much emotional baggage. Therefore my top 5 is:

FRWL - Connery at his very best. Red Grant an imposing villain. An absolute classic.

LALD - I just love the feel to this movie. The voodoo element, the villains and henchmen are top notch and the locations are interesting without being overly exotic. I also feel Roger is on top form here and the comedy element is fantastic without being OTT.

FYEO - A fun romp while being the most serious and dark of Roger Moore's tenure. The ski scenes are great and the scenes in Greece are stunning.

AVTAK - My guilty pleasure. Sure Roger has aged considerably and is less convincing in the role of 007 but...Christopher Walken and Grace Jones are wonderful and add so much colour to the film. Tibbett is one of Bond's best allies in the franchise.

TLD - LTK is my favourite Dalton film but is too emotionally heavy to be considered a re-watchable film. TLD is my go to Bond film of the Dalton era even though the villains are sub par and the Bond girl isn't particularly top tier imo. It's just a very fun watch.

Interesting reading people's views. I guess most folk are influenced by what they grew up with. The first Bond film I remember seeing the posters for was Moonraker. But definitely doesn't make top 5. So, mine are:

Casino Royale. At time, not considered one of the best but for me the story is excellent. The villains are superb and locations impeccable.

Goldfinger. Again, brilliant storyline and epitomizes everything classic Bond.

OHMSS. Music is amazing. Watch every Christmas.

Live & Let die. So funny and amazing stunts to boot.

Spy who loved me. The fact they built the Bond Stage for this says it all. Amazing production. Underwater Lotus best gadget. For most of my adolescence, favorite Bond girl. As I've got older.....they are all lovely 😍
