Yesterday 007, Pierce Brosnan, met 007, ex Royal Navy Phantom FG. 1 XT864 /007, on a visit to the Ulster Aviation Society collection at Lisburn yesterday.

Pierce is filming in Northern Ireland at present and spent a couple of hours relaxing at the collection.

XT864 served with the Royal Navy from 1969 until 1978 on HMS Ark Royal with 892 Naval Air Squadron and carried the 007 codes from 1975. It then was transferred to the Royal Air Force and 111Sqn at RAF Leuchars and on retirement was used as a gate guardian at the station. In 2015 the Ulster Aviation Society obtained 864 and moved her to the collection at the Maze /Long Kesh site where three years were spent restoring her to the 892 NAS 007 scheme.
