Walther PPK/P99: where (the hell) to find nice replica with mountable silencer/suppressor?

You would think that, by the popularity of James Bond, it would be easy to find a lot of Walther PPK & P99 replica on which you can mount and dismount a silencer/suppressor? Well: think again!

The goal of this thread is to help me (and other readers/contributor) to have a chance to own this emblematic Bond object.

First, of course if you are American (and have the money for it), you can probably own a real one, but in majority of other countries there is no 2nd amendment and you can't buy real gun. You you might (accordingly to the law of your country) have either a desactivated gun, an airgun/airsoft replica or a piece of metal/otherMaterial replica.

And well it since it will be great to not just have a thing that looks nice, you might want a thing that also can fire shits. So here at a beginning of our quest to search the perfect airgun/airsoft replica, and for that there 4 criterias to meet :

  • Be in black color and look like the ones Bond's use .
  • CO² propelled (cause firing with spring airsoft is not great).
  • Blowback (the bolt move when you fire)
  • And most important : you have to be able to mount an dismount a silencer on it (and the Walther canon doesn't look weird when the silencer is off).

That shouldn't be complicated to find isn't it? Well there is one model that check all the boxes : the PPK and the P99 edition "movie prop" of the japanese brand Maruzen. But... they are out of stock everywhere (after all : why continue to produce a product that people are ready to buy ?!).

There is no good alternative for the PPK, but for the P99, Maruzen produce the P99 "FS" (Special Force) that have all except the Blowback system. There is also for another brand a "WE" P99 that have the blowback (and you have the possibility to find silencer for it), but the fidelity is not good since there is not marking like "Walther" on it...

Finding a PPK or P99 without that have silencer is however relatively easy. The brand Umarex does this and there is no problem of stock. But what the point of a Walther for a Bond fan if you can't set a suppressor on it?!

The best solution would be to find a sort of adapter that allow you to screw a silencer on the Umarex replicas. It's seems to exist but problem is that don't know the subject well to know how to do it...

So if you know good way to obtain a nice Walther replica, of fix a silencer on the Umarex one, feel free to reply this thread.

In the meantime, what is your Walther replicas (if you have one)? If you have nice ones that doesn't fire anything (just great for exposition) that have mountable silencer, where did you find them?

    Great photo, I'm jealous.

Yes Maruzen they did a great PPK & P99 sets back in the day but for reasons obscures to me they seems don't do it anymore with silencer, and the ones that existed are out of stock. They still do a great P99 one, but it's a no blowback...

Yes I heard about Marushin one. Did it fire some projectilles ? I saw there is some fake bullet in the magazine, did you can fire plastic balls with it? But anyway : Marushin are out of stock too...

The Marushin and Maruzen shown above are all gas powered and fire BBs.

The are also a cap firing replicas and they are great too - but none of them come with silencer.
