Is it ever made clear how M's operation works? It seems either he sits at his desk most of the time with Moneypenny in the outer office, or he somehow ends up where Bond is. A rather simple setup. And besides 007 what do we know about other operatives who have their own projects assigned by M, perhaps not as difficult and complicated as those of 007. For instance we know about 009 and 003, both of whom had been killed. Did Bond ever work as part of a team with other operatives? If the other 00 operatives end up getting killed in less complicated cases, doesn't that mean that the Defense Minister and M have a problem on their hands if so many of their operatives besides 007 get killed?
Are all of the operatives as talented as Bond, speaking several languages, able to climb mountains, command submarines and ships, fly aircraft, drive all types of vehicles at high speeds, have familiarity with cultures and artifacts worldwide? Indeed, Bond cannot have any equals. The man is the GOOD side of a mirror image of Jaws. Totally invinceable.
