Apart from this being a bloody great trailer, why has the Donkey posted it in Collecting & Props? simple answer. The production was shot on location in Scotland and at Pinewood Studios repurposing part of the Piz Gloria set and John Stears' resin SFX SIG STGW57 Blofeld's henchmen stunt rifles. Additionally, Anthony Hopkins character Philip Calvert, a Royal Navy Commander seconded to The British Secret Service is very clearly James Bond all but in name?

The whole film is on YouTube for free, apparently legally. It is quite Bondy, with some recognisable stuntmen turning up (pretty sure Martin Grace appears as a heavy at one point) and Calvert being a bit of a Bond type, getting his briefing from Robert Morley's M-type character. It's a solid way to pass a Sunday afternoon.

I'm a big fan of this film, doesn't match the grandeur of its stable mate Where Eagles Dare of course, and falls down in a fair few places, but it's a fun film with lots to enjoy. Shame they didn't go on to make a series, as was the plan.
