London Pub Buds
Bond Collectors' Weekends
Gainesville, Florida USAPosts: 1,902MI6 Agent
I will be in London the week leading up to the IJJBS Conference (last week of June). Outside the conference, several of us are touring Bond locations in the city.
Would any AJB'ers like to join our group on the town or for a pub evening for trivia and shop talk?

Sure, I'm in London and would be happy to meet up for this (though I'm only around on the Friday evening, not on the Saturday).
Shady.
Thank you--the Friday dinner is at the King's Head Pub in Roehampton, after the presentations, from 5PM until . . . I'd love to introduce you then to Dr. Oliver Buckton (new Fleming biographer), Dr. Kinane and Lucas Townsend who are managing the conference, and the other writers and presenters.
The walking tour and Casino Royale screening are Saturday, but I'll be in London from the 24th on--daily a few of us are doing locations, if you want to join us or one evening that isn't that Friday in the city, also.
Of course, we plan to visit Hatton Garden--where else can we find Shady Tree?!
That sounds great. I'd be happy to make the King's Head by 5pm on the Friday after my day job... it's reasonably local to me anyway. Unfortunately I can't make the conference on either day but joining you for the evening would be great... I'll DM closer to the occasion. Shady
...I will be leading other locations tours the week for groups prior to the conference (different locations than the below), all AJB'ers are more than welcomed!

Roehampton is a bit far for me I think but the saturday sounds interesting, I get back from the US earlier that week so just need to check my plans properly
Wonderful, Ian Kinane's Bond knowledge is superb, also joining us Saturday for the Casino Royale screening is Dr. Oliver Buckton, author of the new Fleming biography, The World Is Not Enough.
Two of us have been going over the walking tour this weekend and it is fabulous also. We see locations from most of the Fleming books and most of the films on one tour!
