Better ways to end Licence to kill ?

Most LTK fans agree that the ending with Jolly Felix, The winking fish etc was bad. Do any of you have ideas on how it should have ended? I would have had the credits roll after Bond gets into the truck with Pam.

Have Bond call M instead of Felix. M invites Bond back into MI6. M asks how Felix is doing, and Bond says Felix is doing well given the circumstances. The rest remains the same. I've never understood the issue with the winking fish. Why wouldn't a drug baron have a fish sculpture by his pool that can be set to wink during parties? How is this unrealistic or wrong?
I'd have ended the film with Talisa Soto and Carey Lowell being handcuffed and taken off to acting school.
