I like how the woman in the last poster looks mildly concerned at the sight of the large snake that's about to kill her. Sort of the reaction you'd see in people in front of a slippery pavement or a bookshelf with too many heavy books. π
The bottom one is Superfly, I think, that's his pimp mobile, although I seem to recall it was silver, not gold. Ron O'Neal is the guy hunkering down under the sexy gril's afro. If I am wrong, I would like to get marks for interpretation! The pics in the middle look as if they may be comic book or trash novel covers.
my favourite Toronto comic shop has separate sections in their basement labyrinth for Sleaze and Smut. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I imagine the Smut is more purely sexual, whereas the Sleaze could be more generally weird with the sex just being one of the transgressive elements. Like the picture above with the soldiers harassing the young ladies I might categorise as sleaze, whereas if we looked in on the characters again five minutes later it might now be Smut.
Ah, When The Earth Cracked Open, one of my fav imaginations. I had this as a full page pic in a history of Hammer book. I should never have given all those books away...πππ I always thought the naked diver was supposed to resemble Stephanie Beacham.
The Norwegian comic book series "Ingeniør Knut Berg på eventyr" (Engineer Knut Berg on adventure) is little known these days even in this country, but it ran from 1941 to 1960 in magazines. It's an adventure/sci-fi series, sort of a mix of Indiana Jones and Flash Gordon.
Comments
I can see why, Sir Miles π
A Hammer movie…
Pulp action scenes…
Three more movies…
And Suzi getting herself into a precarious position again…
Mars Attacks, and Jaws .... 2?
Yes, correct @Barbel good spotting!
Sci-fi day…
Movies…
And a plastic model kit box…
And finally…The Invaders…
Used to love watching The Invaders π
Lovely art. The 2nd movie is definitely The Quatermass Xperiment and the first maybe The Time Machine.

Pin-ups…
Our own lovely Diana…
And what is Suzi running from (Barbel will know π)
Has someone been raiding Thunderpussy’s Gentlemen’s Interest folder? βΊοΈ
If so….please do it again….soon π
Suzi is running from "The Giant Claw", one of the worst movie monsters ever.
I knew you’d get that one, Barbel π
Fabulous βΊοΈ
What the --- bloody hell... πππ
Thought you’d like those, gents π
Four well known faces in the first picture…
The first is Hannie Caulder, if the others are films I don't recognise them.

Superfly is correct. There are both silver and gold automobile versions.
The second is art for a movie before the typography is set. I’ve forgotten what the title is.
The rest are from men’s adventure magazines from the 60/70’s.
I was selling books for 40 years and never heard of a trash novel. Pulp, sleaze etc. but not trash. You’ve invented a new genre!
I know there are reference books on the topic of Trash Cinema
Trash Cinema: A Celebration of Overlooked Masterpieces
Trash Cinema: The Lure of the Low

A movie…
Gothic…
Noir…
Exploitation…
The movie It Came From Outer Space, a good one.
Love the noir ones, but no idea where they're from.
The movie is correct!
I think the noir art comes from book covers and men’s adventure magazines.
I love them all π€
The first gothic illustration is Jane Eyre I think
That’s a really good shout, Chrisno1, and if it isn’t, it should be!
No introduction required…
And again…
And finally…Suzi in trouble again…
I have that top image…but I’d be happy to have a couple of the others too π€
Sci-fi/Fantasy
Movies, a Hammer pre-production poster that never happened, some book covers before typography was set, and more.

Unsurprisingly, I’ve never heard of this before, N24. I like the artwork πΈ
