I like the artwork too. The series is even written in Nynorsk, a form of Norwegian only used by a fraction of the population. If you imagine an adventure/sci-fi comic book series written in Welsh back in the mid-19th century this somewhat comparable, even though all Norwegians can read Nynorsk if they really want to.
I watched Vampire Lovers a little while back, it was a swell film, and so was its sequel Lust for a Vampire
more recently I read Carmilla, by Sheridan Le Fanu, the novella the first film is based on, and its swell too! its so nice when a lonely young teenage girl finally meets a friend she can share everything with
@caractacus pottsLust for a Vampire is an awful film, I have no idea why you would think it was swell, unless it was swelling breasts you were thinking of, there are plenty of them. Please watch Twins of Evil, it is the best of Hammer's three Karnstein movies, although Captain Kronos which is an unofficial sequel to Twins is also worth a look.

Catching up ( been busy). That's a very misleading image for "Quatermass And The Pit", nice though it is.
Like CHB I've never heard of Knut Berg, either.
And I love the TB one!

thisd be the David Lynch version of Dune, with Kyle McLachlan and Sting in the centre. I'd have to look up the other two actors
Istill havent seen the new version

what are the inspirations for the imaginary comic book covers in the background of this picture?
I can place the top two: top left is based on the the cover of Phantom Lady 17
top right is Superman 1, with the logo from Captain Marvel Jr
I cant guess what the cover of Lurid Horror is based on
@caractacus potts what background? 🤷🏻♂️😬
Excellent imagery, thanks all 🍸
I don't know much about art but I know what I like and that's the pics in this thread!
Glad to see you’re enjoying this thread, folks 😁
Movies…
Paperback covers (sorry, I don’t know the titles)…
Noir…
Pin-ups…
thats Daphne from ScoobyDoo!
Loving this artwork 👏🏻
So it is, I'd never have recognised her!
The first movie above is From Beyond The Grave, a good anthology with Cushing in a rare villainous (well, sort of) role. Don't know the second one.
Movies…
Bond…
Having a good time…
Horror…
And Suzi…with a pulp horror classic monster…
Robot Monster! 😁 And a nice "Curse of Frankenstein", too.
Lots of these I haven’t seen before 🍸

A great poster for The Vampire Lovers though.
we have non-identical if occasionally overlapping tastes
Montage…
A movie…
A model kit and a book illustration…
And some more pulp art…
I think the movie is "The Ultimate Warrior". That's a really good Invisible Man and I've no idea what the one with the ship etc is.
I like "Mrs Peel - We're needed!"
I like the John Carpenter montage….some great films there 😁
In the Bond one…a couple of the Bond’s themselves don’t look too good 😮
Thanks, as always, CHB 🍸
Ultimate Warrior is correct, Barbel 🥇
Agreed, the Bond artwork is a little “off” in places, Sir Miles.
The Avengers and John Carpenter art is good 🍸
The book illustration is HG Wells’ The War In The Air - not an easy one to guess.
is that bus balanced on one single wire? why isnt it hanging upsidedown? I think I'll just take a ferry instead, that bus does not look safe
Portraits…
I like those 😁
Montage…
Mash-up
Bond…
Movies…
Those mash-ups are funny. Tiffany is brilliant! The movies: I think the first is "Night Of The Demon" and the other "Curse Of The Werewolf".
Charlie’s Angels 🥰
Love the Tiffany one 😁
@Barbel Both correct 🥇🥇
@Sir Miles Yes, the Charlie’s Angels picture is fab! And Tiffany, of course!
Pin-up day…
And Suzi is back…
The Martine Beswick is fabulous…and all of a sudden I want to learn the guitar 😏
The guitar is fabulous ... and all of a sudden I want to learn Martine Beswick.
