Yes, it definitely should! The only thing with this post is I wanted to focus on alternatives that came closer to the stainless steel bezel and exotic dial. That's why I left out the Tudor, even though some of the options I included didn't have any bezel (but still had the darker chapter ring). I want to do another post in the future on Daytonas with the black ceramic bezel and I'll definitely include the Tudor in that one. Thanks for sharing!
New post: our Best Bond Style Alternatives from 2021! It's your typical year end roundup of some of my favorite finds
@kristopherm3 I haven't looked for alternatives for that sport coat in ages. But I'll start to keep my eyes open and if I come across anything good, I'll let you know.
One of the best alternatives I've found over the last 365 days the QOS cardigan alternative from John Lewis online. In the sale now down from £175 to £87. Took delivery yesterday and it is a really nice cardigan. Not available in black to be screen accurate but I prefer the navy blue.
@Gymkata I haven't forgotten about the sweater and promise I'll follow up! Sorry, just been a little crazy.
New post: thought I'd take a look at some villain style. And, honestly, Safin's parka was my favorite piece of outerwear from NTTD (aside from the RgT jacket).
Morning and happy Hump Day! I took an extra day to write this post: a look at the classic N-1 deck jacket. Not exactly Bond related, but we do get some style icons like Newman and James Dean!
Happy Sunday! Life suddenly got a little crazy all of a sudden (all good but we're moving to a new house). And I've been working on today's gigantic post on style icon inspired winter style. This one has some Bond in it, as well as plenty of Redford, McQueen and some golden age of Hollywood influences.
Does anybody have any good alternatives to the Brunello trousers from Spectre? Something as close to the color as possible, also any boots that look like the JCrew ones if possible.
Appreciate it! Saw a pair of Kenton’s on here last month and was just not quite fast enough to get them. No sign since so I’ll have to turn to alternatives
The Johnston & Murphy Washed Chinos in Taupe are an excellent alternative to the Brunello Cucinelli chinos. I own a pair and impressed with their softness, fit and color match.
This is my first post. Hello everyone! How do I reply to a specific post? I see many of you “Quote Tweeting” as it were. How do I embed a previous post into my reply so that it’s clear which thread I am replying to? Thank you
Sorry for going AWOL. Spent the last month moving into a new house so that ate up my time. But all settled in now, so it's time for a new post. I took a look at alternatives for that blue plaid shirt jacket Craig wore to the The Late Show last week:
Couldn't find an exact match (I'm thinking it's something like a vintage Pendleton or Woolrich, but it could obviously be something from a higher end brand since a lot of them are doing shacket style pieces lately).
@NoTimeForPie yes, I really like the Golden Fox Boondockers. In fact, I was wearing them yesterday. Had them for 4 or 5 years now and they're still going strong. Great value for the money.
Thank you! I’m just getting my bearings as a newly registered user (although longtime reader of this marvelous Clothing & Lifestyle sub-forum).
While I’m here and taking up everyone’s precious time by reading, I wanted to share a photo of a recent acquisition (which pairs so well with the Johnston & Murphy washed chinos in Taupe for part of the Morocco look). FYI: the Kenton Pacer boot
(these are Sahara color) are very comfortable, light and not bulky like I thought they might be.
A suggestion: the Tommy Bahama 5-pocket Boracay jeans work amazingly well as alternatives for the Quantum of Solace Haiti outfit and for the Talamone, Italy, outfit. I own them both and couldn't be happier with fit and color... super lightweight and good for summer too.

I'd love to hear about some of the best alternatives you gentlemen found over the last 365 days!
Cheers everyone!
John
Happy New Year, gang!! Wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2022!
Does anyone have suggestions for an affordable alternative to Bond's brown tweed blazer from Goldfinger? I'd like to recreate the look. Thanks!
Happy Hump Day!
I've updated the post on Bond's Danner Mountain Light II boots with all new alternatives:

@Gymkata I'm rushing around right now, but I'll respond to your comment later this morning/afternoon.
Big post update on the LVC Menlo!
I covered the repros, some of the MTM options and higher priced alternatives this time, so there's a good range for all budgets.
Enjoy your Friday, gang!

Does anyone in the UK have the Barbour Covert in size S, and are willing to exchange for an M?
I have a medium with tags but I'm unable to return it due to the number of days lapsed since purchase.
Thank you
Ron

Thanks: really fun selection. I love that YoColorado puffer vest!
@emtiem Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
A new update of a very old post: alternatives for Bond's CR PTS cardigan:
Nothing with that gigantic collar (although the $2500 Tom Ford cardiga comes close 🤣). But still some solid options out there right now.
Cheers!
John
Morning all! Post update on the Craig style flat caps for today
Lots of new alternatives, plus some caps for summer and newsboys (if that's your style).
Cheers!
John
Charles Tyrwhitt has a version of the Morocco Blazer for $299, a cotton linen blend.

I assume that price will come down a bit at some point from now until the spring\summer.
Also, Lucky Brand has a very casual, laid back version of the Connolly linen shirt. While it's at $55 now, I've seen it go down to $15-$20.

The closest alternative in looks at the time of Spectre's release were by Aldo. They are now as rare as the real thing.
John at IA has recommended the Golden Fox Boondocker Boots.
Here's his review of the boots.
Here's the Amazon link.
If you can find a brand that can be re-soled, Dainite now makes red soles.
Appreciate it! Saw a pair of Kenton’s on here last month and was just not quite fast enough to get them. No sign since so I’ll have to turn to alternatives
Amazon seems to have at least some sizes of the Pendleton Westerly (aka the Lebowski sweater) half off again via Zappos.
Get it while you can! Unfortunately, Dillard's sold out. Though I do keep checking every now and again in case an extra popped back up.

To catch up:
@armenianmovieman that CT sport coat looks like a great match!

@St_John_Smythe Welcome!
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoy your Sunday!

Congratulations John. Hope you are settling in well
The Golden Foxes are really close…I might pull the trigger if I haven’t somehow come across the SA ones soon, have been looking for so long 😂
Health and happiness to enjoy your new home John
